Deranged Rhino Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Where's the option to vote for this thread?
Big Turk Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I'd say the Steelers only cause we were at home
BillsFanM.D. Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 It's not even close. We got rolled, at home, by the Steelers backups. Horrific.
mrags Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Worst team in football. We got steamrolled today. I hope Orton gets aids and sleeps with CJ and they both are forced into retirement.
TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Steelers loss was worse. Raiders have been playing well lately. Still stings though.
BillyBaroo Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Steelers backups was way worse - we actually had a shot to get in that year. I guess Willie Parker turned out to be pretty good though...
Freddie's Dead Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 It's a push. Two horrendous performances with the season on the line. No intensity today at all.
Deranged Rhino Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Home loss versus a west coast loss -- even if the "backups" on the Steelers were great (and they were, many became starters and a few probowlers), that's still without question the worst loss of the two. It's not even close.
Pirate Angel Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 No comparison..the Steelers game was a win and we are in. Even with a win against the Raiders we only had a chance and it wasnt a favorable one
BillyBaroo Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 How is music city miracle not on the voting list?
TC in St. Louis Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I could see this one coming down Broadway with the high beams on. Not even the least bit surprised by this outcome. The Raiders play tough at home. Granted, the Rams beat them 52-0 a few weeks ago, so they have some issues. But they played hard and their fans were great. We had it on the line, and we lost. Losing Dareus was critical. I think the new owners will open their checkbooks to bring this city a winner. It might just start with a new coach with some guts. I hope we knock New England out of home field advantage. That would make the offseason better for me.
Deranged Rhino Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 How is music city miracle not on the voting list? That wasn't a choke job. That was just being jobbed by the refs.
zonabb Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Absolutely abortion by the offense. At some point relying one the D to win a game would come back to bite them and today was the day. A below average day by the D, based on their standard, and an average day by the offense came at the worst time. Those complaining about Orton need to watch the game again. When the first read For him is a play that relies on ru after that catch with an oline that sucks, whose fault is that? Yeah orton is limited but today an offensive coordinator showed us what a good game plan looks like with a limited rookie QB. It's a bad combination of a bad offense coordinator with no skills calling plays for a QB with limitations where the play calling fails to recognize the QB and OL limitations. Garbage. Fire Hackett. I'm not renewing my seasons with this OC still on board.
BillyBaroo Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 That wasn't a choke job. That was just being jobbed by the refs. Yes! Pegula is cheap! also Goodell is screwing us!
CSBill Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 (edited) How is music city miracle not on the voting list? Those were evenly matched teams . . . especially after the worst coaching decision in the history of professional football! Moreover, it started a curse that still hovers over this franchise. Absolutely abortion by the offense. At some point relying one the D to win a game would come back to bite them and today was the day. Actually, as bad as the offense was, I find this argument does't line up with the facts: Only 13 of the 32 NFL team scored more points than the Bills this past weekend, it was 3 points higher than the season average, and They scores less than 24 points in 9 of their 15 games this year. As frustrating as it is, the offense did what it has done all year = just enough to give us a chance to win. If you want to place the blame somewhere, how about on a Defense that was lack-luster, and allowed one of the worst teams in the league to out up one of its highest point totals of the year? How about a defense that couldn't make the plays when it was most needed? Let's be honest here, it was the Defense, not the Offense, that lost this game for the Bills! The Real Buffalo Joe Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 This one is no question. We could have beat the Raiders, and then beat New England next week and still not make it. Sunday was an away game against an improved Raiders squad.
BuffaloWings Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Steelers...all the BIlls had to do was win and rely on nobody else. They still needed a lot of help this year even if they did beat Oakland.
