But the story today is he says he didn't take his job as seriously as he should have. There ends any comparison to EJ. People may say that EJ isn't a good QB, but nobody ever said he didn't take his job seriously. In fact, it seems that just the opposite is true. I'm not sure this guy has a clue. But add to that Gordon's suspension and one has to wonder" Does Pettine have any control over this team? I won't make a knee-jerk assessment here, but it isn't looking good for Mike at this point. I don't see his players rallying around him in the way I expected. What was his name again? Manuel? I think Manziel seems like a jerk and I don't know if he will ever turn out to be any good, but let's not forget that he is not the only one to make the rookie mistake of taking the hit rather than learning to slide. Usually it takes some film for defenses to pick up your tendencies so the first few games for rookie are some of their best of the year. I wonder what will happen with manziel. Based on his history, I just wouldn't put that as "likely". agreed. the one thing you can control as a rookie QB is how much work you put in and the dedication to being a nfl QB.
