PromoTheRobot
Hey Promo, you do realize that wanting the Bills to be great does not equate to the Bills actually being great, right? And that t we here is no harm is pointing this discrepancy out? In fact, the more we all sit around holding hands, drinking cool aid, and talking about how amazing we are, the more likely we are to suck. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty...and, uh....being a Bills fan. Just to be clear I am not defending Orton or any Bills QB. I'm just pointing out how silly it is to fall in love with every castoff, scrub, backup QB because you think they are better than what the Bills have, usually based on seeing one highlight. I mean that's all I see anymore. I hear some dumbass call WGR tonight and suggest we trade a 2 and a 3 for AJ freakin' McCarron! Can we just control ourselves just a little? It has to be no stone unturned given the Bills current QB situation. No reason to criticize that. Okay...if that's what you call it. There is no harm in wanting every QB you see or hear about because one might be better than what we have. No harm and certainly makes for interesting exchange.

Are you suggesting AJ McCarron is not worth a 2nd and 3rd round draft choice? Have you seen the man's wife, Katherine Webb? I'd love to have her hanging out on the sidelines around The Ralph. On a more serious note, if you are suggesting that a change at QB for the sake of change is misguided, I agree with you. If we can improve play at the position, I'm all in favor of a move, even if we just keep moving up from "rather sucky" to "slightly sucky" to "not so sucky" to "doesn't suck at all, but not very good" and so on. An improvement is an improvement.

Buffalo Barbarian
Whitehurst > Orton I actually watched this game and thought this kid ain't half bad (and looked good last year if I recall) and certainly moves better than Orton and since we can't draft a top QB maybe we could trade for him. What do you think, a third? I just want to understand why people prefer every QB not a Bill. because our QBs suck
PromoTheRobot
Any improvement, no matter how small, by definition, is an improvement. Why wouldn't you want to do that? Because all you do is repeat the cycle. You get a new QB, decide he still sucks, and get another. You never settle on anyone. No continuity. Why is that not obvious? The Real Buffalo Joe
This game sucks so let's debate something truly important: If Indy has drafted RG3 instead of Luck, would the AFC South be worse than the NFC South right now? What is it about the south, anyway? So good at college football. So bad at professional football. They don't really have a fan base. NFL is just a way to pass time on Sundays after Saturday's game. The Real Buffalo Joe
ha. Very true. I've never understood it. I love football. Pro, college, high school. I've even watched new experimental league when they show late night repeats. I don't understand the people that say "I love college football, but not the pros." So you follow these kids and then just give up on them? Or "pros are all about money." Have you looked at the NCAA lately?
