So, if EJ (a guy who regressed from his first year and struggles to put up 200 yards) doesn't pan out, the defense disappears after 2 years, we don't make a run, what's the backup plan?

Oh, don't have one. All our eggs in a basket that hasn't played a good game since week 2. Bold.

No offense, but not many teams have backup plans when it comes to QB. Its either you have one or you don't. If you have 2, you don't have one kind of deal.

Disagree. After Locker's disappointing second year, the Titans drafted another QB to compete. Skins with RG3 and Cousins.

Besides, not many teams have as good of a team as we do. We need a plan, not cross our fingers and hope EJ figures it out. That's really gonna "waste this defense."

Didnt say it was a good plan. Just IMO the best case scenario

Best case scenario is Kyle Orton becomes Kurt Warner.

Got it, got confused on the whole topic on if we were discussing EJ or Cutler or who the eff knows.

Drafting a QB in the third is a must IMO. Also bringing in a FA Vet or trading for a VET. Orton and EJ have failed to show anything. Going into next year with them as the only two viable candidates is not a good setup.

As a rookie, EJ has a higher QBR than Orton has this year. That seems like it would be something.

Again, this myth of Cutler being a good QB is hilarious. Good QBs don't bounce around to their 3rd team. Cutler QBs don't consistently challenge for the league lead in turnovers. Good QBs don't shove their linemen in the back or pout like a child.

Cutler is not a good QB.

Trestman is in WAY over his head

He's like a substitute teacher who showed up every day and did what was needed, tutored a few kids after school, got some kudos, so the principal gave him a shot once a vacancy occurred.

But when put in front of a real class and held responsible for their performance has no control over the room and is totally lost. Kids are coming in late, leaving to go to the bathroom and wandering the halls for 20 minutes, sleeping in class, playing on their phones, talking over him.

So he did what all inexperienced and unskilled managers of people do when they feel themselves losing control: he went nuclear. But that always has the opposite of the intended effect. You've essentially done your worst then so what's next? They already don't respond to you.

That's Trestman. He should go back to subbing (i.e. showing a video or handing out a worksheet and staring out the window while kids play on their phones all class) and picking a couple really dedicated students to tutor in the library after school. That's his level of competence.

This would be valid if Cutler had a lot of winning seasons and playoff berths. He has made the playoffs ONCE in his career. That's multiple coaches.

I'm not saying Cutler is great but Trestman has no control over that team. Leaks from assistant coaches, players not even trying... it's ugly there and he bears the brunt of the blame, IMO.

Everyone thought Trestman was a genius last year. They almost made the playoffs & Cutler/ McCown had the best seasons of their career. In fact, McCown was performing at a higher level than Cutler ever has.

Cutler is a coach killer.

It's not all Cutler to blame for the Bears debacle. Their OL is frighteningly bad and the defense is a sad joke.

That defense is so bad. 2012 Bills-esque.

Totally agree.

Honestly, I hope Cutler gets cut. It's the only reasonable way the Bills have a chance of getting him His contract is too large to see him traded here. Let him, on a reasonable contract, battle for the job.

if you follow the leaks, they are also coming from trestman, or most likely above trestman in the front office too. some of that wasnt kromer.

its a mess. its a shame the story will be fizzling out some in 2-3 weeks

People are crying for a compentent QB, not Cutler specifically.

How does a competent QB relate to Cutler?

Disagree. After Locker's disappointing second year, the Titans drafted another QB to compete. Skins with RG3 and Cousins.

So his point stands. Both RG3 and Cousins aren't looking too good.

Titans have 1 QB. They drafted him because they had no QB (Locker).

They don't have a backup in Mettenberger doesn't work out.

Puhleeze. Just let him disappear somewhere else - hopefully to the Jets.
