Thoughts about this show randomly popped into my head. I'd forgotten all about it. I think it was a great show and I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned in any of the "great sitcoms" discussions. In hindsight, I'd add it.

Yeah, that was a really good show with a great cast. Sad that it had such a short run due to Phil Hartman's death.

It's like the Gale Sayers of TV shows.

kevin nealon was on howard stern last week...he mentioned that from that famous SNL chippendales skit, only he and mike myers are alive...swayze, farley, jan hooks...all gone

It's crazy that its been nearly 20 years since Phil Harman and Farley passed.

Jan Hooks is dead?

The SNL McLaughlin Group take off with Hartman as Frank Sinatra and her as Sinead O'Conner is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Well, that's a relief. It would really suck if she were only slightly dead.

You're not kidding. The last thing we need is another Dick Cheney.

This made me think of this story Mike Myers tells of Lon Lovitz after Hartman was killed.

"Jon Lovitz is just one of the most naturally funny guys," said the spit-take loving comedian when asked who he thought was the funniest living human. The comic continued: "After Phil Hartman died (and Jon was very close to Phil), we went to the informal wake. I wandered around saying 'Can you believe Phil is dead? Can you believe he was shot with a gun?' And Jon said, 'Oh, come on, you’re making it sound worse than it was.'"
