San-O Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 The K.C. loss, which was a very winnable game is I recall, is looking to be a big one. Buffalo is # 9 in the AFC now according to NFL.com, and K.C. is 2 spots ahead. Was that the "McLuvin game"? http://www.billsdaily.com/gameday/2014/kc/review.shtml
FluffHead Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I have yet to hear about the importance of said loss, please enlighten me.
TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 No point in rehashing the past. We all knew how important the KC and Miami games were going into them. All we can do now is try to win our remaining games.
San-O Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 San Diego, where I'm at at the moment, could lose this weekend and Buffalo playing Oak. should win. Pick up one spot there?
billsintaiwan Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Those bloody fumbles, Brown's in particular, were just brutal. The old bills, I hope.
boyst Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Good. I hope it gets in these guys veins and burns them up. I hope they realize that Houston and Kansas City !@#$ed them. I hope they learned from it. Let this sit in their memory for next year. Let them realize they can't make these mistakes early and think they'll be forgotten later.
Forward Progress Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 That was my first ever live Bill's game and both fumbles (Brown & McKelvin) were right in front of me. Such a tough loss to swallow, since we outplayed KC in every phase except for these two fumbles. We were already celebrating Brown's TD when the ball was knocked loose. We all knew what an important game that was at the time, and it is likely the loss that keeps us out of the playoffs again.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Oh the lonely lament of looking back and wondering what might have been if only.........................
Maddog69 Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Don't forget the numerous missed opportunities in the redzone in that game. We have a handful of chances to score a TD and misfired on all of them. That game was there for the taking and the Bills blew it. That one hurts.
PortlandiaEast Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Tier 1 Losses KC, SD Tier 2 Losses MIA, or HOU... Flip anyone of those to a W and we are in much better shape... But really who do you think you are enlightening with this post? We are all aware of how far the KC loss set us back.
stevestojan Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I normally don't look at what ifs (since if we do that we need to know we had NO right beating the Lions). But that fumble by Brown could be the most costly turnover in 10+ years for the Bills. And thanks, OP. I had just about run out of salt to pour into this wound.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Has anyone actually figured it out, if we had won the KC where we'd be in the playoff standings? 9-5, tied with Pitt and Balt, but believe we'd get tie breaker over Balt on about the 5th tie breaker or so??
Prickly Pete Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 The offense is awful. This team has a couple huge flaws, and aren't better than a few of the other teams vying for the wild card spots. I think they would lose in a head-to-head matchup (if they haven't already) against those teams. They aren't deserving. The playoffs are nice, but what I really want to see is a team that looks built to be a year in and year out contender. I think they are on the right path.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 No, it was the KC loss followed by the Miami Loss. Thanks Kyle!!!!
Fadingpain Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Ya Think???? This. It was a critical blunder at the time too!
TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 These types of things are kind of a wash anyway. Should we have won the Detroit game? Probably not but their kicker missed 3-4 field goals.
Big C Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 And KC lost to Oakland. I would be shocked if they finished 10-6. We obviously should have won, but it is spilt milk
K-9 Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Doesn't look any bigger now than it did when the schedule first came out. Gotta win conference games to give yourself the best chance. But if it does end up costing them, I hope they stew on it all off season. GO BILLS!!!
