prissythecat Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 ....Even the very best RBs have little effect in their teams' fortunes. Really ?
mannc Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Really ? Yes, really. See how much the Vegas line moves if Murray can't play. It won't budge an inch. But if even a mediocre QB is out, the line can move as much as 3 or 4 points. It is a proven fact that good, serviceable RBs are regularly found in the 7th round of the draft, in the UDFA pool and as street free agents. I don't even know who Dallas's backup is, but I guarantee they won't miss a beat with him in there if Murray doesn't play, especially behind that O-line.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Murray (hand) plans to play for Cowboys against Colts on Sunday
26CornerBlitz Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 How will Murray's injury affect the Cowboys ? (2:30) The "NFL Total Access Kickoff" crew discusses the impact of Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray's hand injury heading into their Week 16 matchup against Indianapolis Colts.

Teams without their feature back just don't do as well. How has Houston played without Arian Foster? How has Minnesota done with no Adrian Peterson? Take away Lynch from Seattle and they don't even contend this year .

And I completely disagree wrt Seattle. Lynch is very good, but SEA's record would be exactly the same either with him or without him. And Houston has been mediocre both with and without Foster this year. Again, if you don't believe me, just watch the Vegas line and see how much it moves when a team's "feature back" is injured. Nitro Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Ed Werder, ESPN, reporting Murray will decide tomorrow if he can go. He practiced today with padding over his glove on the injured hand.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 @RapSheet #Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray is going to play today with a pad on his hand. That was clear from his 1st-team participation in walk-thru Sat.
