Canadian Bills Fan Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I was in sixth grade when The Sixth Sense came out. That was pretty creepy at the time. Before that, the dollhouse episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? terrified me as a young lad. That was a Canadian show!!! And ya it was creepy! CBF
Johnny Hammersticks Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Event Horizon A film of underestimated nightmare potential. Me and my college roommates saw this movie at least twice in the theater. Very creepy. The scene with the boy under the tent in the infirmary freaked me out. The guy speaking Latin holding his eyeballs too.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Creepy but still a fan: "Jacob's Ladder." HELL YES this movie messed with my head.
IDBillzFan Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Seven. By the time I saw his plan for Lust, I had to turn it off.
Mark Vader Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Seven. By the time I saw his plan for Lust, I had to turn it off. Sloth wasn't enough for you?
Azalin Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 The first movie I saw that really scared the crap out of me was the original 1963 version of The Haunting. I was 10 or 11 years old at the time, and it was on channel 7's Fright Night double feature.
Cugalabanza Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I was pretty spooked by the old lady ghost in the cellar in House on Haunted Hill (1959, with Vincent Price)...
IDBillzFan Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Sloth wasn't enough for you? It's been a while, but if I recall, Sloth had already happened but we were watching Lust take place...or about to take place. Being forced to do that...I get the willies just thinking about it.
KD in CA Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 It's been a while, but if I recall, Sloth had already happened but we were watching Lust take place...or about to take place. Being forced to do that...I get the willies just thinking about it. So you never saw the end? What's in the box???
Dante Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) Paranormal Activity kept me creeped out for a couple weeks after. They did a lot with not much in that movie. Built tension nicely. This one looks creepy http://www.movieweb.com/movie/it-follows/international-trailer Edited December 18, 2014 by Dante
IDBillzFan Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 So you never saw the end? What's in the box??? Couldn't do it.
The Dean Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 The only horror movie to ever make me jump a bit was the original Halloween. Rosemary's Baby was pretty creepy. I laughed during the Exorcist. Never tried Chef's headphone trick, though. Brain Damage was funny and creepy. Still, the creepiest horror movie, and my favorite to date, is Videodrome.
NCDAWG Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 The original Dracula with Bela Lugosi.....not a drop of blood, but man those images.....
DC Tom Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Jason and the Argonauts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlFjNVTiI1c Harryhausan's creepiest work ever.
John from Riverside Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) Its kind of embarrising but "The Exorcist" I was seeing stuff after that movie and was in the living room of my apartment with my 357 in my lap......calling my wife telling her to spend the night with her sister......I didnt want to shoot her by accident. Oh and Silent hill when the demon with the huge sword rips on the young girls skin Edited December 18, 2014 by John from Hemet
Chef Jim Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Harryhausan's creepiest work ever. Yup, that movie was full of his creepy work.
boyst Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 You guys are much older then me or in another world. I don't recognize many or any of these movies. And I don't know what did really creep me out as a kid. The only scene that still gets me is in one of the Star Wars movies they cut open an animal to go inside and stay warm. I couldn't eat hash browns after that for a while because they looked the same.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Couldn't do it. Se7en is more of a drama than a horror movie. Nancy boy.
