That's what makes him worth the money, and that's why Brees, and Eli and Brady and Big Ben and anyone else who's good is going to stay put for the rest of their careers come hell or high cap hit.

If someone says, cap they should be publicly shamed. You never release cornerstones. You release everyone else first. It's the dumbest suggestion since Skelton for Mario.

Anyone who says "but he's an indoor QB" or "his arm isn't strong enough for the weather" really needs to take into account that we really only have one or two bad weather games a year.

Their GM has openly discussed that last year was the year they felt the crunch and this year isn't worrisome. Remember last year when they signed one of the biggest free agents? He's calling that tighter than this year. There are rumors next years cap will be nearly $160m and the saints are banking on shifting money into future years. Now with their cap problems, there is a very outside chance we could pick up Julius Thomas as a stud TE or Lupati to shore up the line. Those pick ups are still long chances but based in reality. Not, how about Bree's, Manning, Rodgers, and so on.
