KRT88 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Are you even allowed to hit a QB anymore? Troy Aikmen was upset with what appeared to be a great hit on the QB. The SF player drove his face mask into Wilson's chest. The official called it as roughing the passer call, hit to the chest. Maybe he sad the guy dropped his head but no way that happened. Three plays later Seattle scores a TD and that play would have forced a FG. Horrible call. This league has become a joke for defenders.
CSBill Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 It was a horrible call. And I'm glad Aikmen didn't let it go. He kept harping about it, and rightly so. Too many time the officials are let off the hook, but that was a game changing bad call.
Fixxxer Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Just watched it, awful call by the refs. As doofus Irvin said on the highlights "Blandino, fix this"
26CornerBlitz Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Blandino: Niners' roughing penalty on hit to Wilson was incorrect
Dorkington Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 In real time, I could see why it's called, but in the replay it's clearly a clean hit. So the question is, can you review these sorts of calls? I assume not, since we are discussing it the next day.
Roger Goodell Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 NFL officials do a commendable job protecting both the players and the integrity of the game.
