Does Mario's strip fumble count as a sack?

It's been said already in other places but cannot be overstated. In the two games, Manning and Rodgers were 31-62 for 358 yards and no TDs, 4 INT and a fumble for a safety.

Amazing.

Quite a performance. That said, if Jordy hangs onto that pass it's quite possibly a different outcome.

No other way to put it. Enough good things cannot be said about this defense. Schwartz deserves a TON of credit for what he has done with this group. It seems like even when a player goes down, we don't miss a beat. We had no sacks last week, and still entered today's game ranked first in sacks. And even though we only had one sack today, in the last two games we have gone against not only two sure-fire, first ballot hall of famers, but two quarterbacks with arguably the two quickest releases in the NFL.

I am damn proud of our defense, and I pray that the stars do align, and we somehow find a way into the playoffs, because it would be a shame to have a defense this unbelievable not participating in the post season.

That said, if Jordy doesnt make a fabulous play to deflect the ball away from Gilmore, it's a pick six and the defense is even better. Nelson's TD drop is a wash because he made that great play to prevent a TD that hardly anyone makes.

Possibly, but that's what a punishing D will do to the opposition. They start hearing footsteps.

He was looking for Aaron Williams at the last second. Even Nelson's post game quote was telling. He said "I short-armed it." You don't short arm a wide open pass in perfect stride unless you hear footsteps. Otherwise you just drop it.

Even the ghosts on our defense hit hard as !@#$.

That's one thing we've seen these past few weeks: go ahead and catch the ball in front of us, you'll get lit the !@#$ up when you do.

Then, as the game goes on, suddenly receivers get a bit more tentative.

Agree 100% with GG and Kelly that our defense created that drop.
