YoloinOhio Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 CJ is great addition, just DO NOT run him up the middle. That is Dixon/Fjax's job. yes.
Augie Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) CJ, healthy and used wisely, is an amazing weapon. I really hope we keep him and learn how to use him again. A guy who can average 6 ypc is a stud! And the strawberry, orange, banana stuff says it's also a good value. It must be true. I need more fruits and vegatables. Edited December 15, 2014 by Augie
Dan Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Regardless of how healthy he is, getting him a few touches in the game would be very important. Problem now is with injuries. Who do we keep in the stable? How about that kickoff specialist dude who rarely kicks it in the endzone, and occasionally kicks it out of bounds?
Freddie's Dead Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Showcase CJ so we can either trade him or increase his compensatory pick value.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Showcase CJ so we can either trade him or increase his compensatory pick value. Can't trade him unless they franchise or he exercises his player option for 2015.
Best Player Available Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Every team needs a good waterbug. How about that kickoff specialist dude who rarely kicks it in the endzone, and occasionally kicks it out of bounds? We need him for his special 9 yard onside kicks.
BUFFALOKIE Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 In my mind, here is what I want. CJ Spiller getting maybe 10 touches next week. 3 or 4 catches, 3 or 4 runs, and a screen. Then lets do something completely different. We're probably going to have some success. Lets put a wrinkle in the team. Put Orton in shotgun and do a direct snap to CJ and let him run it, or a quick handoff and run it. Let CJ get some game time practice but put a cap on his touches and play count. Give him 12-15 snaps, 10 touches. Let's roll in to NE ready to have some fun. Lets roll in to NE with some moxie. Lets change our attitudes, lets change our MO, lets even change our uniforms. Black helmet and maybe black numbers on the jersey. Take the white pants and put the white part and make it black. Let's come out in NE with CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson in the backfield. Run a play like we normally do, run a second play like we normally do and pass it. Lets in the first series put those two out there then flex Spiller out wide to the WR spot. Lets put him right next to Watkins and make NE have to figure out how they're going to cover Watkins and Spiller on one side with Woods on the other. Lets use Chandler to keep Jamie Collins busy, because he is the one I respect the most on that team. Later in the game, lets run that same play we run against Oakland, but make it a flea flicker. I don't think it will be full throttle and I hope it's not. See above. I'm cool with the all blue#
ALLEN1QB Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 It's obvious we are better with him on the field.
boyst Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 How about that kickoff specialist dude who rarely kicks it in the endzone, and occasionally kicks it out of bounds? that's what i figured it'd be. jordan gay for the last two games, since carpenter isn't worn out.. maybe we do. i think someone else would sign him quick as can be. i dont' want to lose him, but i don't want carpenter kicking off either. I'm cool with the all blue# away games, we'll likely have to wear white jerseys.
Special K Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Every team needs a good waterbug. We need him for his special 9 yard onside kicks. You are giving him too much credit...it was more like a 7 and a half yard onside kick.
RealityCheck Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I wonder if CJ will finally be able to pick up a blitzing defender. He invites a stacked box and blitzes when he's on the field. If they can some how get the ball downfield in the passing game while CJ is in the back field, he'll get more space in the run game. It's ironic. His poor blitz recognition and blocking skills allow defensive fronts that make it very difficult to find holes. His lack of vision exacerbates this issue. Learn to pass protect CJ, and everything else will fall into place. That is all.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 @buffalobills Doug Marrone: @CJSPILLER is cleared to return and will be added to the active roster. His readiness for return will be gauged this week.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Nice No more ? on your thread title. I wonder if Bryce Brown goes back to street clothes on Sunday.
Fan in Chicago Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 @buffalobills Doug Marrone: @CJSPILLER is cleared to return and will be added to the active roster. His readiness for return will be gauged this week. Now if only we could get Kiko back for the NE* game ....
YoloinOhio Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 No more ? on your thread title. I wonder if Bryce Brown goes back to street clothes on Sunday. no but the KO "specialist" can.
boyst Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Now if only we could get Kiko back for the NE* game .... Funny, because I really expect Jamie Collins, the Pats version of Kiko to be very important against us week 17. It'd be nice to have our own version. No more ? on your thread title. I wonder if Bryce Brown goes back to street clothes on Sunday. Brown will be a Bill and even be active. It'll probably be someone like Goodwin to be inactive for Spiller and the cut could be who knows who - but we have to cut someone. Probably Deonte Thompson. no but the KO "specialist" can. I'd bet on Deonte Thompson first. I think the Bills will keep Gay because he is a restricted free agent. We may be able to use that title for something in camp or preseason.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 no but the KO "specialist" can. Good luck with Gay being inactive.
