PromoTheRobot Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Over 16 games the Bills will play a top 13 defense 12 times. #2 - Detroit #4 - Denver #6 - Miami (2x) #7 - NY Jets (2x) #8 - Kansas City #9 - San Diego #11-Minnesota #12-New England (2x) #13-Oakland The only "weak" defenses we will see are.. #18-Cleveland #24-Houston (odd considering they have Watt & Clowney) #25-Green Bay #28-Chicago So this is one possible reason (excuse?) for our rough offensive output.
YoloinOhio Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I've been keeping track too. The worst Ds we played were Chicago and Houston, both EJ.
4merper4mer Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Occum's shaver called and begged to differ.
QB Bills Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Doesn't New England and Miami pretty much play the same teams? Where do they rank? The reason for the rough offensive production is mostly because we don't have a QB. Not really sure where your going with this OP. He's saying that part of the reason the Bills haven't looked so hot on offense is because they've played some pretty good defenses. Where's the confusion? It's a valid point.
peterpan Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 We cant just hope to play all bad teams every year. Eventually we will have to be good enough to beat the goods teams.
CardinalScotts Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 a lot of teams playoff appearances are schedule driven, I'd argue closer to 70% its the facts of the NFL
No QB - No Bueno Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 The Bills get an assist. Their ineptitude at QB helped their opponents reach the top 13 rating.
Georgia Bill Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 We'll see how our offense fares this weekend against a "weak" (#25) defense.
JC2002 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 The Bills get an assist. Their ineptitude at QB helped their opponents reach the top 13 rating. Yeah Im sure that 81 points we put on the jets in two games put them in the top ten
truth on hold Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Yeah Im sure that 81 points we put on the jets in two games put them in the top ten how the heck are they #7
26CornerBlitz Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Cleveland's defense is weak. Please explain why they could only muster one offensive touchdown and did next to nothing in a pathetic first half at RWS. What's the excuse for such a lackluster performance?
Webster Guy Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Yeah Im sure that 81 points we put on the jets in two games put them in the top ten jets defense actually played pretty well against us in the first game. it was the fact that they turned it over 7 times that killed them.

Those are the kinds of defenses you have to beat if you wanna win a championship. It's not some fluke, the Bills have sucked offensively for over a decade! Face it,They need a better QB! He's saying that part of the reason the Bills haven't looked so hot on offense is because they've played some pretty good defenses. Where's the confusion? It's a valid point. But it sure seems like a rationalization. Like "hey, maybe Orton is good enough, but the Bills just drew a tough schedule of defenses"....NONSENSE! The offense is BAD.

The offense needs balance we went from a top rushing team to a middling passing team and there is no inbetween and we are not currently built to be strong in either .

Orton hasn't looked the greatest and his dive slide was appalling, however how much better will the offense be if Orton has another year to get his timing down with the recievers. He had a lot passes last week that just missed with the WRs that if were on target would have been big gains.
Buffalo Boy Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Doesn't New England and Miami pretty much play the same teams? Where do they rank? The reason for the rough offensive production is mostly because we don't have a QB. Not really sure where your going with this OP. Spot on. Crappy offensive coordination, bad o-line play and poor QB play are why we lost those games(with some bad calls added in for good measure) looks like an easy win this week Orton hasn't looked the greatest and his dive slide was appalling, however how much better will the offense be if Orton has another year to get his timing down with the recievers. He had a lot passes last week that just missed with the WRs that if were on target would have been big gains. To quote the inimitable Nigel Tufnel..." None more!!!" None more better. ORTON SUCKS!!!!!!! STOP!!!!!!! NO Orton in 2015!!!!!!!

What's the excuse for such a lackluster performance? not sure if you saw how the browns D played against the #1 offenses last week (colts) but it is playing at a pretty high level. Luck was reeling.
