NFLPA grievance: New England Patriots doctor put team ahead of patient

The NFL Players Association, in a court document recently filed in an unrelated case, alleged that a team physician for the New England Patriots altered the medical treatment of a player in an effort to bolster a legal case that would force the player to return his signing bonus to the team.

Maybe pushing HGH serves multiple purposes...

The league office has carefully reviewed this situation and concluded the Patriots acted appropriately and in the best interests of the player.

thank you for the usual due diligence at the league office, Rog

I am a major !@#$. I am the worst kind of !@#$ because I cannot wait until the Patriots totally screw over Tom Brady. I cannot wait until they toss him in front of a bus after using no lube. Then once the bus clears I hope they bury him in more buses. Not because I dislike Tom Brady because he wouldn't deserve that. Nope, I just want to show classless that organization is and I would love the world to see what kind of games they play. I'd love to see him railroaded out of town and sent to someone like the Redskins where he could tell all.

Imagine it. Brady tears his ACL/MCL and breaks his hand. Grappolo comes in and looks alright. The Patriots trade him to the Skins. Yeah. Sweet!

I have an unhealthy hatred for that team...

It is going to be amazing when Brady retires and they go back to being 8-8 every season

sadly, they still would have been better than us the past decade.

Please don't tease me so close to Christmas!

True, but their spoiled obnoxious fans want to fire Belichick and get rid of Brady after they lose in the playoffs every year

Wait, you mean that a [very well paid I'd have to assume] employee of a NFL team would put the people paying his salary ahead of others? Say it ain't so!

Wondering if you combined two thoughts here. What does lube have to do with being tossed in front of a bus?

I eluded to what they did without speaking of what they did without lube.

If you'd like it more simply. I think the Patriots would be purely evil to break the light switch in Brady's bedroom so he has no choice but to see horseface every second of every day.

I've seen a few different people post this... Is there something to this?

IF so, the dream is alive. SOMEHOW they get stopped by Denver in the playoffs this year, they cut Gronk, Brady turns 38....

I don't even want to allow myself to imagine it....

take it for what its worth

TE Rob Gronkowski ($8,650,000 cap charge) – Gronk must stay healthy the rest of the 2014 season in order to remain worthy of such a high cap charge. Otherwise, I could see the Pats releasing him before the start of the 2015 League Year so as to avoid guaranteeing his 2015 $4.75 million salary. -

source #2 (a year old my bad)

Gronkowski is set to make $15 million alone in 2015, in the form of $5 million in salary (which is guaranteed only for injury but not for cap or production purposes), as well as a $10 million option bonus that the Patriots could opt to pick up at any point in the 2015 league year. Numerous sources who reviewed this contract said they highly doubt New England picks up that $10 million option, which would make Gronk a free agent.

There is a lot to this.

http://www.cbssports...ng-ways-in-2015

It's been quietly making headlines for over a year.

Gronkowski, whose health history led to him signing a team-friendly extension in the first place, has most of the money in this deal tied up from 2016-2019, which at this point he is unlikely to see. Gronkowski is set to make $15 million alone in 2015, in the form of $5 million in salary (which is guaranteed only for injury but not for cap or production purposes), as well as a $10 million option bonus that the Patriots could opt to pick up at any point in the 2015 league year. ...

Should New England pick up that bonus, that triggers Gronkowski's deal from 2016-2019 (worth $27 million). Given Gronkowski's run of injuries -- it stands to reason he opens 2014 on the Physically Unable To Perform List and returns to the team midseason -- and the calculated manner with which Bill Belichick often operates, it's quite likely this situation is resolved even before the 2015 season.

They will screw him eventually.

I understood the lube reference. And I dont mess in that way.

When they're finished with him he will invest all his money in the best lube in the market. Lol.
