Boatdrinks Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 as we know it. Thanks to all the deep thinkers who bought into this election being about "morals". This is what we now get. Bush wants to eliminate employment based health insurance. This guy will not rest until we have a two class society. Tax breaks for the super rich and now he wants us to pay for health insurance out of pocket, with private "catastrophic" health insurance to make up the difference. He feels people will be more "responsible" ( code for "use less") with volume of health care they used if they had to pay for it. What a bunch of crap. Is it any wonder why corporate America is so behind this president ? Just think of how much more they could pay their top executives if they didn't have to bother with wasteful costly things like heath insurance! I mean, folks should be grateful just to have a job, right? And of course the problems with health care have nothing to do with gouging by pharmaceutical companies. Well people are complaining about the cost of health care so why don't we just SCRAP THE WHOLE INSURANCE SYSTEM and put it on the backs of individuals. If they can't afford it they won't go to the doctor errr...will be MORE RESPONSIBLE with their ise of the system. Brilliant! I hope everyone who voted for this clown and his "moral values" thinks about it when their health insurance is taken away. A classic bait and switch. Lets make the election about some non-issue that really gets people fired up so we can push through our agenda. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
crackur Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 this will be sent to the politic forum I'm sure but Bush sucks...............next question
CosmicBills Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 There's a separate forum for this sort of stuff....
kegtapr Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 What!? Do you even beleive what you just said? If any of that is even close to correct, I should be the first one worried. I work in health insurance. However, you my friend are clueless. I'll sleep well tonight.

Socialist care does so well, eh? Wrong board BTW.
Pete Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Lay off the sauce. Not only are you illogical you are on the wrong board
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Give him a pass......after all.....he is a boat drinker......
Fezmid Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 He feels people will be more "responsible" ( code for "use less") with volume of health care they used if they had to pay for it. I didn't see the address. However, it IS true that a lot of people abuse health care. There are people my wife and I work with who go to the doctor because they have a headache. And then there's people who are on public assistance who go to the ER because they have a hangnail. What do they care, it's free for them. CW

Not only that, but those greedy corporate bastards should be paying for our car insurance, house insurance and life insurance too!!! Nice knee jerk reaction. Why don't you check out some of the socialized medicine programs in Europe and what their impact has been on those economies before posting such nonsense.

"Socialized medicine". First time I ever heard that one. Let me guess, you voted for G.W.? I'd hardly call our current health care system socialized. Explain that one please.

I work in health insurance. However, you my friend are clueless. I'll sleep well tonight. 226826 In a nutshell yes it is correct. By the way, I read it in an article in the newspaper. I did not watch the State of the Union address. I would not waste my time listening to one minute of that.

Boatdrinks Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 Thats a funny post. Socialist care does so well, eh? Wrong board BTW. 226829 Why all this crap about "socialist care" ? I'm talking about our CURRENT SYSTEM of employer based insurance. Why on earth would anyone call that "socialism" Last I checked if you do not WORK you do not have coverage.
Typical TBD Guy Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 226820 This isn't such a black/white issue. Before posting, you should have done some background research on the problems with health care in Canada and in Europe (especially in the years to come). When you look at...eh, nevermind... I'll just let the heavyweights in the PPP tear this piece of shiite up...
Tux of Borg Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Yes... it's all Bush's fault that our Health care system is all !@#$ed up. Don't blame the countless other administrations (rep and dem) that have done nothing to fix the problem. Also don't blame those who fake injuries so that they don't have to work. Don't get me started on ambulance chasers....

Why can't anyone see thiat. Geez. I guess I'll never get angry at the prospect of losing something I already have again. AT least not on this board. I wan't to keep my insurance and now I'm a communist and probably a relative of Castro. I guess I'll stick to football with this bunch! Does everyone on this board pay for their own insurance or something? Own a corporation maybe?
