rumblefish Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Which Bills HC gained the most success with the least amount of talent
The Big Cat Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Jauron. And it's not even close. I'm happy to see that posters are finally beginning to come around on this. I was ostracized...BIG time for saying this while he was here.
Kirby Jackson Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Cue the Gailey crowd..... That's me!! To be honest I don't think that ANY of the guys since Wade were good. It's kind of a tallest midget argument. With that being said Chan was the tallest of the midgets IMO.
PolishDave Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Jauron = worst game calling Bills coach ever. Otherwise he was one of the best Bills coaches, and yes, probably the best since Wade. Gailey = I would have been totally happy keeping him as head coach if he would have taken a hands on approach to the defense. There is no way the defense should have been as bad as they were his last year here. That was inexcusable. Other than that, yes he was a great coach who could get excellent offensive production out of average players.

With that being said Chan was the tallest of the midgets IMO. He didn't do much at all. His offenses were anemic, although he had, arguably, a better QB than we now hove on the roster. His offense was monolithic and predictable. Jauron = worst game calling Bills coach ever. Otherwise he was one of the best Bills coaches, and yes, probably the best since Wade. You thougth he should have been directing the Defense also? Makes no sense..
RealityCheck Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 It's not a question of HCs. It's all about the QB. None of those guys stood a chance at winning it all with who they had behind center.

I was ostracized...BIG time for saying this while he was here. And I was right with you and agree with this 100%. It's why I can't stand Marrone. Our rosters under Jauron were a joke compared to this year's team. I can't stand Orton as a starter but he was a huge improvement over Trent/ JP. Gailey did a great job with an underwhelming offense but I think we had more talent than we did with Jauron. That's why we need to get better than Marrone. This team has a SB defense and with a few tweaks, could be one of the top teams in the AFC. I don't see Marrone ever getting us there. I thought he was going to be more Chip KElly and instead he is more Dick Jauron.
