26CornerBlitz
@mikerodak Can confirm that Bills have signed WR Deonte Thompson off the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad, as @RavensInsider reported. That means the Bills have to clear a spot on their 53-man roster. They now have 8 WRs on the active roster. Bills sign WR Deonte Thompson off Ravens' practice squad The Buffalo Bills signed wide receiver Deonte Thompson off the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad Monday to their 53-man roster, a source confirmed. The Bills have yet to announce a corresponding move to clear a roster spot for Thompson. His signing means the team now has eight wide receivers listed on its active roster. Does Caveman get released today? @mikerodak Doug Marrone says that Mike Williams' calf injury will result in him being put on a list. Says Whaley is finalizing. @buffalobills WR Mike Williams added to the Waived/Injured list, WR Deonte Thompson signed. DETAILS: http://bufbills.co/TchIpy What waived-injured means for Mike Williams With Mike Williams waived-injured today (Monday) to make room for the Bills to sign WR Deonte Thompson, here’s where Williams’ status stands with respect to Buffalo’s roster. Designated as waived-injured the 31 other NFL clubs now have 24 hours to put a waiver claim in on Williams. If another NFL club is awarded the claim for Williams, the receiver would join that team’s roster and assume the responsibility of his current contract with Buffalo. If Williams goes unclaimed he will revert to the Bills roster and be placed on injured reserve effectively ending his 2014 season. Deonte Thompson: "Taking it to the next level" (7:06) Newly signed WR Deonte Thompson joined The John Murphy Show to discuss coming to Buffalo, his possible role in the receiving group and on special teams, and winning a Super Bowl with the Ravens. Coach Tuesday
That would be great - I'm really glad we taught Caveman a lesson. Seems like a very productive use of their time and resources.

Max997
the Ravens apparently thought very highly of him and were paying him more than double the usual salary of a practice squad player to keep him as he was earning $17,000 per week which is well above the usual rate of $6,300 per week Ran a 4.21 Edited December 8, 2014 by Max997

26CornerBlitz
@RavensInsider Sources: Bills sign wide receiver Deonte Thompson off Ravens' practice squad: http://www.baltimore...208-story.html Thompson caught three touchdown passes during the preseason and 10 passes for 96 yards last season. He ran track and played football at the University of Florida and was arguably the fastest players on the Ravens with 4.21-second speed in the 40-yard dash. @JoeBuscaglia Would not be shocked if Mike Williams gets put on IR to make room for Deonte Thompson. #Bills
boyst
Mike Williams on IR would be a huge slap in the face. Release him, please. He deserves better then this. This is pure frustration and bungling of a simple problem. It is leaving a bad taste in the mouth of the fans, it is disrupting and denying improvement, it is showing a lack of accountability in the coaching staff and it is displaying poor management from the organization. Mike Williams' ability is not relevant to this statement. It is simply the handling of the man and would be the same if it was Goodwin or anyone else on the team. If he's healthy, then the Bills will have to do an injury settlement, otherwise they'll be facing a grievance.
Mr. WEO
How about we get rid of the "kickoff specialist". He has been a bust this year as a roster spot taker....
