From what I see he does the same thing that everyone was yelling at CJ for, trying to take it wide every play, instead of hitting the hole straight ahead... The grass is always greener on this board. If it isn't Mike Williams, its Bryce Brown, or EJ, fire the OC, fire the coach, fire the special teams coach, blow it up ! on an on....
Magox Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 As much as I love Freddy, I have to agree that it appears that he is slowing down. I think it's time to give Brown the keys and allow Freddy to come in for spot duty and pass protection.
Dr. K Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I stand second to none in my admiration for Fred Jackson, but it seems painfully evident that he is slower than he has been. I don't think it's just the injury. He's just hitting the wall that all great running backs hit at around his age. Early in his career he did not play a lot, so he played younger than his age. But in the last five years he has been a workhorse and it has taken its toll. It happened to Thurman, and it's happening to him. No shame attached to this, but he is not the player he used to be, especially this late in the season.
