26CornerBlitz Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 @SiriusXMNFL BREAKING: #Ravens DT Haloti Ngata has been suspended by the NFL the next 4 games for violating its performance enhancing substances policy.
26CornerBlitz Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Did lil' Donte rat him out? Good question. In any case, the Dolphins are thankful.
Captain Hindsight Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Looks like Marv mad the right choice after all
YoloinOhio Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Adderall @AlbertBreer: The NFL is not disputing Haloti Ngata's claim that the positive test was for Adderall, per a league spokesman. So that's what it was.
Captain Hindsight Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Maybe this is ignorance but isn't adderall used to help you focus? How is it a performance enhancer?
Mr. WEO Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Actually, "adderall" is the players' "go to" drug to confess to because there is no way for anyone to publicly dispute it. He could have been on anything.

NoSaint Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Maybe this is ignorance but isn't adderall used to help you focus? How is it a performance enhancer? for some positions, sharp focus over the course of several hours could be a nice perk. you hear the discussion around cornerbacks sometimes. whether thats what he actually used? who knows.

Didn't know that. Interesting the NFLPA caved on that. Is that rule/policy in effect already?

Under the new policy, if that was a lie, NFL could correct it and ID actual substance. Maybe this is ignorance but isn't adderall used to help you focus? How is it a performance enhancer? players can get Therapeutic Use Exemption for Adderall and other attention-deficit drugs if it needed for medical reasons. He must not have done that. It's like when Mathis got busted and said he was taking fertility drugs. You can take them if you get prior approval through your doctor that's what they are for.

Ok, so he's not juicing. He's just incredibly stupid. My guess is that he didn't get an exemption because he has no prescription for the adderall. Edited December 4, 2014 by Mr. WEO
YoloinOhio Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Also I read that Adderall is only counted as a PED during the season. If they test for it in the offseason they don't need exemption.
