SF Bills Fan Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Buffalo has supported and NBA team, I'm sure the ABA can work there. http://buffalo.bizjournals.com/buffalo/sto...tml?jst=b_ln_hl
ofiba Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Good news. Maybe the ABA will be a bit more watchable than the NBA.

Buftex Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 So true. Does anyone have any interest in the NBA this year? 226520 Both the Rockets and Cletics are having decent seasons thus far (okay, Celts are leading their division, at two games below .500, which says how bad the NBA is), but I am barely interested...maybe come playoff time. I miss the NHL real bad, right about now!
Tux of Borg Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 So true. Does anyone have any interest in the NBA this year? 226520 I rather watch a Martha Stewart info commercial than an NBA game.
Mark VI Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I don't know if that will work here. They tried indoor soccer and arena football. They both failed. The Lacrosse team ( Bandits) does well. UB basketball is getting 2,000-3,000 to their games at North campus. They became a winner last year in the Mid-American conference and attendance is growing.
silvermike Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I looked at their website (It's not on the top ten searches for "ABA") and it seems like there are plenty of smaller markets than Buffalo involved in this thing - we should be able to keep a few thousand people at the games. And Rochester will have a team, so we can't fail where they succeed! www.abalive.com Uh, the website includes a link of how to reserve a market for a future team.
