eball Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I heard they pooped in a bag and Billy Buffalo dropped it off Can they keep Billy Buffalo too as part of the settlement? Hate that mascot. Friggin' albatross to this franchise.
BillsVet Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 He signed a 5 year deal in late May after 6 bad years of this and just over 6 months later decided it needed to go? Makes you wonder what the priorities of the franchise were until new ownership came on board. Guess the Pegula's told Russ the days of squeezing more profit by selling games were over. And of course Brandon adhered to that guidance.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Can they keep Billy Buffalo too as part of the settlement? Hate that mascot. Friggin' albatross to this franchise. He came in year one of the drought. Coincidence?
papazoid Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 He signed a 5 year deal in late May after 6 bad years of this and just over 6 months later decided it needed to go? can he claim a "thorough assessment" both times ?
May Day 10 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 IMO there is something there that isnt/hasnt been disclosed. Pegulas werent the owners yet. Apparently Wilson did not have any say... I wonder sometimes if it was partially or in large part Rogers' and/or the NFL's call to put it on hold. The media picked up on how dismal that game was and really took a hatchet to the whole thing.

Canadian Bills Fan Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I'm gonna miss that thing. In a weird way. Haha me too. I had plans to go back to it but it doesn't make sense now. I think everyone on this board knows how much I hated it. At least I hope so... CBF
TheFunPolice Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 The Bills aren't going anywhere.... but we are "always willing to share with a friend!" (if you remember one of the smug Toronto articles salivating at the Bills relocation there)
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 The Bills aren't going anywhere.... but we are "always willing to share with a friend!" (if you remember one of the smug Toronto articles salivating at the Bills relocation there) The one that was published like 3 hours after Ralph's death was announced?
TheFunPolice Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 The one that was published like 3 hours after Ralph's death was announced? it might have been.... either way, I remember it making me sick, especially the smug, condescending tone
Mr. WEO Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Makes you wonder what the priorities of the franchise were until new ownership came on board. Guess the Pegula's told Russ the days of squeezing more profit by selling games were over. And of course Brandon adhered to that guidance. It costs $78 million to cross the RIver Styx?
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) it might have been.... either way, I remember it making me sick, especially the smug, condescending tone I actually called that paper over that one but got no answer. Left like ten voicemails, but response. Edited December 3, 2014 by The Real Buffalo Joe

TheFunPolice Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I actually called that paper over that one but got no answer. Left like ten voicemails, but response. Many things were disgusting about it, but the worst was the obvious assumption that the Bills were Toronto's team but they would be willing to lower themselves to share it with us garlic eaters in WNY if he were nice to them The tone, the timing, the attitude, the assumptions... everything about it was pure slime
rumblefish Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) bad news loss of exchange rate, , but it' good news for the convicted DUI folks  and no passport needed to attend home games Edited December 3, 2014 by rumblefish
8-8 Forever? Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) Good. Good business deal, but bad for the franchise and the fans. the silver lining may have been that is revealed just how weak the Toronto market might be for someone thinking of moving the team there.. so maybe some benefit Edited December 3, 2014 by 8and8Forever
26CornerBlitz Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 @salmaiorana My updated story on the end of the Toronto series. #Bills Eric Wood, Fred Jackson weigh in. http://on.rocne.ws/1CESLmX via @DandC
Ted William's frozen head Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 This is just hypothetical. To be honest, I don't know why Rogers agreed to extend the series. They were the ones losing money. Give Toronto the preseason games. - Forever.
