Maybe I've missed this somewhere in the past, but is there a reason when the players in the NFL are out in the community they have numbers on their team jerseys but not their names? it hit me yesterday when they showed some of the Chiefs helping with a food drive, and the players had their team jerseys on but no names on the back, I've seen that with the Bills too, but wasn't sure why.

Is it some sort of copyright thing with Nike that they can't do it? It just seems odd to me.

The Community Relations department, the one that arranges these charity events, keeps jerseys on hand without names so they can re-use them year after year, even though the player in them may change.

That makes sense, pretty simple answer, I guess I thought there would be some bigger reasoning behind it, but hey it works for me. thanks Jack
