MarkAF43 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Maybe I've missed this somewhere in the past, but is there a reason when the players in the NFL are out in the community they have numbers on their team jerseys but not their names? it hit me yesterday when they showed some of the Chiefs helping with a food drive, and the players had their team jerseys on but no names on the back, I've seen that with the Bills too, but wasn't sure why. Is it some sort of copyright thing with Nike that they can't do it? It just seems odd to me.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Not completely sure, but I would venture to guess that it has to do with licensing/marketing issues between the NFL, Nike, and the collective bargaining agreement.
