The Poojer Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 someone needs to put that hit on manzel to a jim ross soundtrack... Should have been a TD. Someone get a GIF of him sleeping in the endzone. KW put him in a coffin.
The Poojer Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 he just laid there...didn't make an attempt to get up...he couldn't have been knocked out...that doesn't bode well for him at all
YoloinOhio Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 he just laid there...didn't make an attempt to get up...he couldn't have been knocked out...that doesn't bode well for him at all thats what I don't get... Why would he not try to recover the live ball??
Doc Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 It was against our backup d line. Also, we had to completely adjust from going against a pocket passer to a scrambler. This is a tough adjustment in the middle of the game, see Mike Vick in the first Jets game. I think our starting d line would eat him alive. He got off easy today. Time will tell I guess for his career. Yeah, I'd like to have seen him against the Bills' entire starting defense and without that fumbled snap near the goalline. Curious to see which way Pettine goes with the QB sitch.
Hot Buffalo Wings Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Scary call by the refs here. Should have been a TD.
Acantha Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 awesome And pretty damn clear his arm wasn't moving forward when he was hit.
CodeMonkey Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 My fav part was the Bills fan giving the Johnny Football "money" gesture after the fumble
thebandit27 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000152253/article/tuck-rule-eliminated-by-wide-margin-at-nfl-annual-meeting The rule's elimination makes it so a quarterback loses possession when he fumbles while trying to bring the ball back to his body after opting not to throw. If the passer loses control while the ball is going forward, it's still incomplete. If he loses the ball while tucking, it's a fumble. Yeah, Boger's crew got it blatantly wrong...again.
Fan in Chicago Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Boger is bad but he called it right. It got overturned by the league office because of the official review of all scores. It was awful. Even Mike Carey said it was a fumble. And it was clear when you watch it several times. Manziel decides not to pass and pulls it in. At that point, he is hit and fumbles. Luckily the overturn did not affect the outcome of the game, but that should not give a pass to the officials for blowing it. Edited December 1, 2014 by Fan in Chicago

Holy crap, I didn't realize that was the new description. Based on that, they completely screwed up that call, no question at all.
Wayne Cubed Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I do see where they think he is trying to throw it but then the ball AND his arm come back in towards his body. He was trying to tuck it. He knew. The refs on the field knew it. Terrible call in that there isn't conclusive evidence to overturn it.
YoloinOhio Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 Question - I've seen where the league will change stats later in the week after reviewing film. Guys will get sacks and such added that weren't originally credited to them. They won't give them the TD because they won't be able to change the score (I assume) but could the league come back and give KW the FF and Robey the recovery after reviewing it?
montanafan Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Manziels play yesterday reminded me when Trent Edwards replaced an injured J.P. Losman and drove the bills to an immediate score against the Patriots in his first major appearance. It was his finest hour.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 damn looks like I'm a bit late. kdub Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) My fav part was the Bills fan giving the Johnny Football "money" gesture after the fumble I chuckled at that as well. Obviously the guy in control of the cameras is not a fan of Manziel. Edited December 1, 2014 by kdub
