8-8 Forever? Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 7am today: WGR "Breakfast with the Bills" guys completely writing off this team for the playoffs. Debating 7-9 vs. 8-8. That's it. I see this team as: healthy, playing well, can run and throw well enough and has a top 5 defense. They'll need health, some red zone turnovers and some special team magic, but I can see my way to 10-6 and sneaking in. Let the new Bills emerge !! Go Bills. They have a team for December.
thebandit27 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 The next two games are the pivotal ones. Win them and 9-6 going into week 17 is a real likelihood (I don't think anyone believes that stealing one in Denver is realistic). Lose either and their done. It starts today; beat Cleveland. Go Bills.
Owf71 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 But your name is "8-8 forever..." Lmao!!! Nailed it!

fansince88 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 11-5 is not impossible. I know It isn't popular here but neither is winning the division impossible. Probable? Don't know till after week 17 but I will hold to that until I hear the fat lady!
3rdand12 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 But your name is "8-8 forever..." Exactly it starts in your own back yard mister lol. I hope to change mine next year. to 3rd and manageable Beat Cleveland. ! Thats all i can see right now
1B4IDie Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Every week is a playoff game for the Bills. Just win baby.
Peace Frog Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Every week is a playoff game for the Bills. Just win baby. If you can't win, then don't lose or we're DOOMED!!!!!!

TheFunPolice Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 10-6 could very well get it done Last year we had this exact same discussion and it all came down to week 17 and some fluky stuff Just freaking win this game and get to 7-5. Then you get ahead of the Browns in the race. One team at a time. Also hope the Chargers lose.
8-8 Forever? Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 But your name is "8-8 forever..." Good point. My everlasting theory is this franchise is too good to get great players and too bad to get to the playoffs. Hence the 8-8 handle. Had a moment of pure optimic fandom this morning. So far today they are turning it over in the red zone and ST has stunk. So, again, they are doing just enough to keep it interesting but not enough to get it done. 8 - 8 forever. Good call out.
Dr. Fong Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Sure would have been easier if they had gotten at least one of the KC, Miami, or Houston games.
Nitro Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) 9-7-7-5...4 games left. Oakland is almost a sure win. That means beating one of 3 QBs that are rated in the top 5. Tall order. Best chance is Green Bay at home. Bills can sneak into the playoffs at 9-7. Edited November 30, 2014 by Nitro
Rockinon Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Miami still has to play Jets twice and a pretty soft remaining schedule. That's who I'm most concerned about.
John in Jax Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 It's been said in here before, but to reiterate: if this team had a top 10 QB, they'd be a SB contender. Orton was just awful again today, and they won in spite of him. They will be getting nowhere near the playoffs this year.
