So on a message board that most browse at work, do you think maybe you could have been a bit more conservative in your thread title? Nice job. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

Seriously, I enjoy a good lap dance as much as any red-blooded American male. But doesn't it seem there are no limits in life anymore? There is an overall corseness to the way we live. Porn is just one small part of it. No one knows any manners. No one has respect for anyone or anything. Simple honesty and decency is rapidly vanishing. It's all very sad, and odes not bode well for our nation in the future, I'm afraid.

complains about the harshness of the title but opens the thread. Too rich.

The devil made him do it! <_< Janet Jackson, Howard Stern, Desperate Housewives, evolution, and Mickey Rooney's butt have made the mind weak and the flesh willing.

Adelphia founder John Rigas considered X-rated programming immoral

But lying cheating and stealing are OK in his book.

You will get no argument from me here re: Rigas' selective morality.

However, I agree with Promo's earlier post and also bemoan the general coarseness of the society in which we live. Most of you know I'm a practicing attorney, and try to at least operate my law practice with some fundamental decency.

I don't like what I see in America...regardless of porn (Playboy doesn't bother me, but the XXX stuff does...there's something just not right there), Enron, Adelphia, politicians, wayward TV evangelists, stuff I see on Dateline, or all this other crap.

We spend far too much time on sports and entertainment (that's where I put porn, because that's exactly what it is: entertainment), and not enough just being fundamentally honest and decent human beings to one another.

The only problem I'd have with this is if they advertise it on the cable promotional feeds.

I have enough problems with my nine-year-old who watches the Cialis ads: "Dad, how long are erections supposed to last?" <_<
