cåblelady Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Today is also my daughter, Jen's, 31st birthday. Although she doesn't read this board.......I have a message for her. Don't even think that I'm not going to ask you if you saw your shadow today.
Mark VI Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Was just upstairs getting breakfast in our cafeteria at work. Cafe has TV's with CNN Headline news on all day. They were showing a live shot of Punxsutawney with thousands of people outside for the ground hog ceremony, drinking heavily. Wait ! Is that Simon !
Bob4Bills Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Happy 'Punxatawny Phil' Day to you, cablelady and Jen. My daughter is in delivery- been there all night- with her first, a girl. I'm waiting on 'the call' to go back. I had yesterday in the baby pool, ...dammit!!
JohninMinn. Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Happy favorite Avatar is back day! Happy B day Jen.
Bear Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 My birthday too! Still sick of the same old ground hog jokes...
Bill from NYC Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Same to you CL. Jen looks about 6 years younger than her age, but you look 20 years younger.
buckeyemike Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 and a Happy Furry Rodent Day to you, too! Wonder if Phil saw his shadow? I haven't heard yet. I guess it's time to pull out my "Groundhog Day" tape again. Great movie, one of my wife's favorites. Mike
Beerball Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Wow, B-days galore today, congrats to all! As for ghog day, can someone explain why a bucktoothed rodent is in the weather prediction business? Also happy the CL avatar is back!

Backwoods town who's biggest claim to fame is a rodent they haul out of a stump once a year to declare he saw his shadow so we've got 6 more weeks of winter. If that's not a reason to get out, have fun, and drink, tell me what is?
