Canadian Bills Fan Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Will it not be? Wont NFLN show it? CBF

Wayne Cubed Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 http://www.nfl.com/n...on-monday-night See paragraph 5. Moral of story: don't waste taxpayer money. Again, they said the same thing when Vikings/Giants game in 2010 was moved to Monday night: http://blogs.courant.com/roger_catlin_tv_eye/2010/12/no-giantsvikings-on-local-tv-t.html "Fans in New York and Minnesota will be allowed to see it, but everyone else in the country will have to wait until midnight, when it will replay on the NFL Network. If you get the NFL Network." But then they annouced it was going to be played nationally: http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2010/12/12/vikings-giants-game-to-air-in-teams-home-markets/ "It will also be available nationally through DirecTV’s Sunday Ticket package." I'd say there is precedent and there is a pretty good chance it gets shown.

Enough crap channels and NFL Network not showing anything to leave those fans in the dark.
BillsVet Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Well, I doubt the governor has much else going on these days. He should prioritize the programming of Buffalo Bills games above all other things right now.

So, the answer I linked to is for a different question altogether. "Nationally televised" is typically referring to one of the major contracted networks putting the game on air nationally. Since Sunday Ticket puts all games on to paying subscribers wherever they may be, "nationally televised" in that market is essentially meaningless. But, I get your concern. You have Sunday Ticket and want to see the game even though it was moved to Monday.

Sisyphean Bills Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Hope you are right. Still call. Does the governor of New York wag the NFL dog?

Although I'd rather have it at a time where I don't have to go to work at 6AM.
The Dean Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I'll just have to watch the game at the bar, same as every week. Although I'd rather have it at a time where I don't have to go to work at 6AM. A bar (outside of the local market areas) will have it ONLY if it is carried by DTV, or some national outlet. I also watch the games at a bar. But if they can't get the game, they can't show the game. Still, I think this will be resolved in a way they will have access. Otherwise I will just stream it from my computer to my TV.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 (edited) Call your local TV affiliate . you stand a better chance than petitioning someone who has a region buried under tons of snow Edited November 21, 2014 by BillsFan-4-Ever
QCity Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 So all other Bills fans get screwed. I would say the Bills fans in Buffalo are the ones that got screwed via the 7 feet of snow. It's hard to sympathize with Bills fans living in, say, Florida right now.
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 So all other Bills fans get screwed. Well, take a look at the 506 map for Sunday; the game was only going to be shown in NYS and a few other markets anyway.

Sisyphean Bills Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Ya, we have never had any natural disasters here. Nope. Remember the "hurricane game" in Buffalo a few years back when the remnants blew through the area during a game? I distinctly remember being informed that playing football in a hurricane was "no big deal".
