ARE WE DEAD YET? I WAS RELIABLY ASSURED WE’D PASS THE POINT OF NO RETURN SOMETIME LAST YEAR:

NEVER mind ‘gaslighting’, which entered the lexicon via the 1938 Patrick Hamilton play Gas Light in which a man tries to convince his wife she is going insane by causing the lights to dim, all the while denying that it is getting darker. No, we are being ‘sunlighted’ – by our government. Through its obedient quango the Met Office it feeds deliberately biased information to those equally obedient mouthpieces, the weather reporters of the mainstream media.

 

While few of us in the UK had yet mothballed our winter coats or turned off the central heating for the rest of the year, the Met Office assured us that we had just experienced the hottest May on record in the UK since 2008. This did not reflect the reality to which those of us with eyes to see can attest.

 

We are being manipulated.

 

People from the four corners of the country reported dull skies and rain accompanied by cold weather for the whole of May. But this is counter to the ‘climate catastrophe’ narrative, so the Met Office simply denied people’s experience and continued to pump out the message about global warming accompanied by weather charts which ranged from light pink to deep red, emphasizing the extent to which the UK was on the boil.

No, it’s a failure of our institution as a whole for not making the immigration process a slam dunk couple of months instead of years and years.

Absolute failure on every level. 

 

It's strange, too, because when a citizen travels to a foreign land, the exit/return is pretty well set in stone.  Stay in your assigned seat on your plane.  Stand down until directed.  You can't deplane until cleared through customs, you can't get out and stretch your legs, catch a breath or fresh air, or run over to the air conditioned bathroom as an alternative to the stuffy closet restroom on the plane.  Once off the plane, of course,  you're herded to a waiting area, directed to stand in lines small and large, step to the uniformed/armed customs official, and directed to present your papers.
