Climate change doesn't move me much but I care about the planet in other ways where it's better established that we humans can make a difference. Acid rain. Air quality. Water quality. The government's intervention on many things has helped where private industry was not moving to adapt, and in that way, it's an area where I support government intervention.

I've made this argument going back nearly a decade now, if progressives/socialists/people from the left hadn't introduced wealth distribution schemes and punitive taxation measures this would have never have become such a polarizing issue. It's true, many mouth-breathers from the right automatically reject any data that doesn't comport with their beliefs and the same goes with all the hysterical ninny's from the left who often have no !@#$ing clue of what they are talking about in regards to this topic.

If man made climate destruction is actually happening anywhere near to the degree of what the alarmists claim, punitive taxation and wealth distribution won't be the panacea that they hope it to be. It will come from some sort of scientific/innovative breakthrough. In the meantime, let's just be conscience of the climate, try to do our own part, not wreck local economies with policies that have real life detrimental effects on working families to put in place dogmatic policies that we really don't know if it would truly help more than a scintilla's worth of effect.

I just don't subscribe to that.

You prove the point in this digression. That's an attempt to have a conversation.

But above this is a gazillion posts about name calling and when one guy tried to say, "Hey I'm not with the crazy people," the response was "there are crazy people on the left." That's not a dialog, it's a Kindergarten playground.

Same.

And though Tuesday didn't say this above, it appeared he was implying he was somewhere in this direction.

And the responses were what they were.

It's like the old saying. The more people I meet, the more I like my dog.

And the more people I meet, if they have a dog I tend to like their dog more than the person

Dogs and cats are responsible for 25 to 30 percent of the impacts of meat production in the United States, said Orkin. Compared to a plant-based diet, meat production "requires more energy, land and water and has greater environmental consequences in terms of erosion, pesticides and waste,"

But biofuels...those are just peachy.

Edit: PETA is already using this to justify their kill-shelters.

Tell that to China, India, Russia. We, as a nation, could be 100% clean and the planet is still going down the shitter. But hey as long as you feel good about caring.

Your reasoning is exactly why I litter. Other people are gonna do it so why shouldn't I? People who care not to litter are empty vessels.

Your cynical world is a lonely place.

Let's not forget about the geniuses down in Brazil. Cutting down 1000s of acres of rainforest to raise cattle.

No my cynical world is a real place. Your humans making a difference by caring is a worthless place. All the caring and changes we make in this country is going to change very little if any in the grand scheme of the planet.

I traveled to India a lot. Every time I saw a man pissing on the side of a building, I should have thought of your attitude. Who cares? 500 million other guys doing it. What's the big deal.

You don't care to make the world a better place. Got it. Sad but whatever. Some of us will still work to make things better for you.
