They're suing on the charge that Exxon defrauded shareholders by denying global warming...after years of insisting they denied global warming to increase profits for the benefit of shareholders.

Moving The Goalposts: IPCC Secretly Redefines what ‘Climate’ means

From the “watch the pea under the thimble” department, the IPCC appears to have secretly changed the definition of what constitutes ‘climate’ by mixing existing and non-existing data

By Dr. David Whitehouse, The GWPF

The definition of ‘climate’ adopted by the World Meteorological Organisation is the average of a particular weather parameter over 30 years. It was introduced at the 1934 Wiesbaden conference of the International Meteorological Organisation (WMO’s precursor) because data sets were only held to be reliable after 1900, so 1901 – 1930 was used as an initial basis for assessing climate. It has a certain arbitrariness, it could have been 25 years.

For its recent 1.5°C report the IPCC has changed the definition of climate to what has been loosely called “the climate we are in.” It still uses 30 years for its estimate of global warming and hence climate – but now it is the 30 years centred on the present.

There are some obvious problems with this hidden change of goalposts. We have observational temperature data for the past 15 years but, of course, none for the next 15 years. However, never let it be said that the absence of data is a problem for inventive climate scientists.

Global warming is now defined by the IPCC as a speculative 30-year global average temperature that is based, on one hand, on the observed global temperature data from the past 15 years and, on the other hand, on assumed global temperatures for the next 15 years

Oh, c'mon !

Gee, you'd almost think that they're trying to manipulate the numbers because the real data doesn't support their doomsday 'we need more grant money and to institute global wealth redistribution' scenarios.

"The basis for the lawsuit rests on the idea of “stranded assets,” and whether companies will be forced to leave oil, natural gas and coal in the ground because of tightening regulations around greenhouse gases. "

They are suing them because they did not detail the risks to the investors of the continuing government strangle hold on them.

Henny Youngman Alert..............................

A man goes to a psychiatrist.

The doctor says, ''You're crazy.''

The man says, ''I want a second opinion!''

''O.K., you're ugly, too!''

A guy says to a doctor, ''I'm having trouble with my love life at home.''

The doctor says, ''Take off 20 pounds and run 10 miles a day for two weeks.''

Two weeks later, the guy calls the doctor, ''Doctor, I took off 20 pounds and I've been running 10 miles a day.''

''How's your love life now?''

''I don't know, I'm 140 miles away!''

Here’s PETA and Bloomberg saying we must give up meat immediately to halt climate change

When the UN speaks, we listen … and when PETA speaks, we really listen:

United Nations: To Halt Climate Change, Stop Eating Meat | PETA

Beef consumption has to decrease by 90 percent if we're going to halt climate change, says the most comprehensive study ever conducted.

And as LA posted above Bloomberg News had a "Note for all Carnivores"

They also posted this.................

Governments and the food industry have a responsibility to help steer citizens and consumers towards a more plant-based, sustainable diet.

Hear that? The government has a responsibility to “steer citizens and consumers” toward a plant-based diet — it’s amazing the things we missed in civics class.

Alternate theory: Bloomberg, instead of pushing veganism, made the editorial decision to give PETA a platform to show the world how batshit crazy they are.

And my diet is plant-based: I eat nothing that doesn't eat plants.

How are we going to stop the horrific and unreasonable release of methane into the air, causing global warming climate change, if we allow the cows releasing the offending farts to live?

Meat is safety! Meat is salvation!

Floods? Hurricanes? Earthquakes? What really matters is beer!

Most of the crops that go into making beer will not survive extreme weather caused by global warming.

Quote

As temperature and weather patterns change, some of the crops most vital to beer’s creation, such as hops and malting barley, are threatened by inconsistent changes in weather.

If you want people to care, hit them where it hurts.

Democrats are like the Whigs and Republicans in 1860's. They know this is the most important issue facing the country but can't say it. All, or the vast majority, of informed Democrats know that fossil fuels, like slavery, has to go. But they can't say that.
