Alaska Darin Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Sam Adams Light is pretty darn good beer. Anyone who can actually enjoy Miller Lite deserves a medal and a trip to Germany to try some real beer. That stuff is absolute poison.
Gary M Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 4 of the guys I work with brew their own, and they all pick on me for drinking keystone light. I like the stuff they brew, but when I'm buying it's all about price. 30 pack for $10.99

Like I don't think, man I can't wait to have a ML tonight. But, when I'm watching football, and I know Im gonna have 107 beers, ML is cheap, doesn't have a bad aftertaste (such as molson canadian) and is light (i can drink em without getting bloated). I'm not a guy that sits at home on a tuesday and has one beer while reading a book. If i was, I might shop for these beers that taste "hoppy" or "woodsy with a good foam", blah , blah, blah. I'd like to go to a beer tasting, but for now, I just love the taste of beer, I like it to be consistent, and that's that. More power to you guys who like to take a sip of beer and then pick apart every facet of its taste. That's not for me. If its cold, not dark, and tastes like beer, give me some.
Nanker Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Frankly, I drink beer when the Lights are on and when they're off. And if I ever have the (mis)fortune of running into any or all of you, I'll buy you a round of whatever you care to have. Cheers! At least that's my story now, and I'll try to stick to it - wallet permitting.
Peace Frog Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 To me, light beer is Labatts Blue or Moosehead. My #1 favorite is definitely....Guinness
Oneida Lake Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 A couple of Guiness' (tap only), a couple of Harpoon IPAs and coast the rest of the aft or evening on Miller Lite. Then drive home(hell by then I'm too drunk to walk)

bartshan-83 Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 3 words on Lite beer. Yes. College. Broke.

PromoTheRobot Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I have to watch the carbs. Miller Lite is okay, especially after hockey. But if I want real beer, I have a Yuengling, Stella Artios, Newcastle, a Belgian White Ale, or a Heffeweissen with a slice of lemon. PTR
Pete Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I do not drink Lite beer, diet soda, decaf coffee, anything with saccarine or nutrasweet. Whats the point?
bartshan-83 Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Bart man you are a Damer -------you should be able to buy a better beer with your parents money than that 225700[/snapback] Ha! The day my parents shell out for beer money. Multiple drinking tickets didn't help my cause either. I will say that I loooooove drinking nice beer. The bar on campus here, Legends, has something like 50 different kinds of foreign brew. Nothing better. But sadly, my days (and nights) are filled with Natty, Keystone and Busch Lites with the occaisonal Coors thrown in.
The Tomcat Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Labatts Blue Light bottles.....mmmmmmmmmmmmm Ice Cold...very yummy
TigerJ Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I tried to learn to drink beer a little bit in college. I don't think I ever tried a light beer. It all tasted like bilgewater to me. Course I can't stand coffee either, decaffeinated or regular.
BILLS4LIFE Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I dont drink them regurarly, but I have had Bud Light,Labatt Blue Light, and Coors Light on occasion.
Zamboni Man Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I like Bud Light when I go to quarter draft night/college night at this local bar. Miller High Life is pretty good too. Guiness Draught is my favorite though.
Spiderweb Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Wow, with a few exceptions, I guess no one is coming over for a few here. Currently have about three cases of Bud light (two cases of bottles and one of cans - I hate the cans, but drink them when out of bottled beer). When I want something a bit more tasty, I'll have a few Gillians Irish Red. Sam Adams Light is very good too. PIZZZZT, now how did that Bud light can open itself......
Mark VI Posted February 2, 2005 Author Posted February 2, 2005 My God. Drink a Sam Adams, A Flying Bison Red or Leffe ( Belgium). A lite beer tastes like listerine after drinking those.
Britbillsfan Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I though all American beer was lite.....(j/k) Will not touch the stuff. Would rather order a glass of milk from the bar than something as foul tasting as a lite beer. Ugh.
duey Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 !@#$ing swill, that's what it is. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
