When I look at that team, I'm pretty sure they would be outstanding even with a lesser quarterback. I disagree. The two together are greater than the sum of their parts. Belicheck without Brady is a usual playoff contender, given the team he has built. But Brady has allowed him to build a team -- actually, many different teams -- with different strengths from year-to-year that consistently allow him to game plan for the opposition. There are sometimes slow starts, but in essence Belicheck and Brady teams are the opposite of the Buffalo Bills. They start out looking vulnerable and get better come October / November.
