thebandit27 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 There are definitely teams that would give up a pick for EJ, but it wouldn't be in the top 4 rounds right now. He's got more value to this team than any other at the moment.

Mr. WEO Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Chip Kelly would take him and think he could develop him. Just like Sanchez. There are plenty of coaches who laugh that Nate Hackett is a NFL OC and was trusted to develop a young QB. Yeah, because look at all those QBs he developed at Oregon... Never said that. But if he could get him for a low draft pick, he'd do it. He also wanted to get Spiller if the price was right. Spiller? Isn't Kelly currently mismanaging McCoy, who is a far better player than CJ?
Uffalo Ills Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Why not package CJ in there too, maybe even Gilmore. The raiders might take them for their # 33 overall because they need an RB and a Defense and those too guys are probably something the raiders would go for. A #33 is lose to first round, and we could package our 9now) 2 second round picks for a mid to late first if we include EJ. I'd hate to see EJ and CJ go, but it could be worth it. By the way, does anybody else agree that Mariota doesn't deserve to be drafted in the top 3? As a side note, he's too inaccurate and unpolished, basically EJ Manuel 2.0...
C.Biscuit97 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Yeah, because look at all those QBs he developed at Oregon... Spiller? Isn't Kelly currently mismanaging McCoy, who is a far better player than CJ? Um, that's the point. He takes Qbs and make them win for him. It's the exact opposite of here. And you're right. Offensive line injuries or bad blocking doesn't matter. Or the fact McCoy was the leading rusher in the NFL last year after he was bad the year before. Kelly has no idea what he is doing. Great points.
Best Player Available Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Yeah, because look at all those QBs he developed at Oregon... Spiller? Isn't Kelly currently mismanaging McCoy, who is a far better player than CJ? Seriously? Do you have even the slightest clue?
C.Biscuit97 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Seriously? Do you have even the slightest clue? No. He just argues for the sake of arguing.

What are you even saying? He can take almost any QB and make them win. He makes players fit his system. And in the NFL, he has made Foles into a pro bowler and Sanchez look not terrible. That's a miracle. But good argument crapping on a coach who will make the playoffs twice in his first 2 years in the NFL.

The Bunk Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 If Buffalo gets a 1st round pick for any package involving EJ everybody send me your address and i'll mail you all a check for $100.
C.Biscuit97 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 What about Mike Vick? Why do you ignore him? Straw man. Mike Vick sucks. But since you try to find flaw in one of the best coaches in football, Vick had the 2nd highest qb rating of his career in Philly under Kelly. You're more desperate than Marrone turning to Kyle Orton.

When someone argues, "this coach can make any QB play like a star," pointing out a QB who did not play like a star with that coach is not a straw man. Mike Vick threw for 5 TD's and 3 picks in 7 games. What's your chief complaint about Orton again? Edited November 16, 2014 by FireChan

You're more desperate than Marrone turning to Kyle Orton. Straw man?? Is Mike Vick not "almost any QB"? And didn't Vick just win his first start for the Jets? So, what you're saying is that Kelly has "developed" a single QB--Foles. And how was Foles looking just before he was injured? 8 games, 13 TDs, 10 ints. Sweet--Orton could play in that offense. And Sanchez? Yeah.... Edited November 16, 2014 by Mr. WEO

We did the opposite.

Actually, Foles didn't play til Vick got hurt, so wrong again. And I thought Kelly makes all QB's play like stars, how can Vick suck? Edited November 16, 2014 by FireChan
Mr. WEO Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Mike Vick sucks and so does Orton as a starter. And Kelly benched the veteran for the young guy. We did the opposite. Orton: 6 games, 10 TDs, 3 ints, 263 YPG, 6.3 YPA, rating 93.5 Kelly's "young guy": 8 games, 13 TDs, 10 ints, 270 YPG, 7 YPA, rating 81. How is that Kelly QB development going this year?
bigK14094 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Jeeze Ward, i think youre being a little hard on the beaver Do you tell your kids that theyll never amount to anything too? EJ MANUEL QB #3 Height: 6-5 Weight: 240 Age: 24 College: Florida State Hometown: Virginia Beach, VA Experience: 2 QUICK STATS (2014): TDS 5 INT 3 YDS 838 RTG 80.3 The problem with quoting these stats is that he was totally coddled by Hackett, and ran an offense designed to make a green QB survive while undergoinlg OJT. Put him in the o that Orton is running...that is the full menu, and Manuel would have a rating half of what he has realized to date.
DC Greg Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I keep seeing these "trade Manuel" threads. There is no team in the NFL that would give up anything for him. Maybe a sixth or seventh rounder if they desperately needed a backup. Where do you people keep getting the idea that he has any trade value? Just because the Bills were dumb enough to spend a first on him does not mean he has anywhere close to that actual value.
