Beerball Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Jeff George II? Pass. Nice to see that you've come around!
BigBuff423 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Prior to this season I would have been on board. What I have seen from the Bears this year terrifies me. There is a lot of talent and the performance has been appalling. It's far worse than what we are experiencing. I know that the options are limited but I'd rather go after Hoyer, Carr, Bradford or Manziel if the Bills go in another direction. It's possible that you could get Manziel or Carr for a 2nd and Hoyer is a FA. There are some others that could shake free that I would consider as well (Eli, Romo, Foles, Matt Ryan). I think that those are LONG shots but is it wise for teams going nowhere to keep expensive QBs in their 30's (except Foles)? Just to be clear, Matt Ryan isn't in his 30s either. Close, as he's 29, but not quite there yet. As for Foles, I would take him over Cutler, mostly due to promise and that I think Foles showed last year, in the right system, he can be very successful. As for Cutler, he's 31, and has struggled everywhere he's gone except for one season in Denver, his last. And as many others have said, due to the price tag of his salary and most likely the Draft picks BILLS would need to surrender, I'd say no thanks.
