Just curious...where in the US can you get a Labatt Blue from either a bar or store. I am assuming most US/Canada border areas carry it. I was in Florida on vacation the last two years and was treated to a steady diet of Miller, Bud, Coors & Amstel(no Molson to be found either).

the stores carry it but good luck finding a bar that serves it, at least here in the L.A. area.

I was 55 miles north of L A in Oxnard. Your right I could get it in stores but not the bars.

You can find Blue in lots of places, but Blue Light is tough to find. I got into a WAR with Labatt because they refused to send kegs of Blue Light to us at McFadden's. I assured them that we could go through at least 5 kegs of it a week...and they STILL wouldn't send it!

Hear in Jawja, you can generally get Blue in beer stores and in most grocery stores in some form (6 or 12packs). Blue light is more scarce. The only bars you can really find it at are generally the ones that pride themselves on their beer selection.

For all you Atlantans, when I first moved down here ('99) I caught Three Dollar Cafe selling Genny Cream Ale as an English Import :D I was with some visiting friends from Rochester and we called 'em on it.

I have seen Blue & Blue light from time to time in the grocery stores here in the Raleigh area.  There are even a few bars that carry it.

Do you remember which bars you've seen it in here?

BTW - who's old enough to remember when you ordered one you said "I'll have a Labatt's" - not "I'll have a Blue"

In Canada it would have been "I'll have a Labatt".

No "s".

Conversely, the proper way to order a Molson would have been "Give me a Molson's". Note the "s".

Another note in the annals of Canadian Beer Drinking History! :D

I was at the Westward Ho casino in Las Vegas one night this summer and they had bottles of Blue for $1 :D:angry: . I couldn't believe it because that was probably the crappiest casino I had been to (and I was at most of them). I played $3 blackjack there for about 2 hours and won like $10 total lol. While in Vegas I liked to drink Dos Equis (XX in Spanish), very good Mexican beer - much better than Corona.

Also had it at a bar/restaurant in Orlando when I was living down there called The Ale House, they had tons of beer on tap and that was one of them.

Also, when I've been in Canada (NF) I've always said "Canadian" when ordering a Molson, since it's on tap EVERYWHERE. But in the States I say "Molson".
