DC Tom Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 @buffalobills Doug Marrone: #Bills CB Leodis McKelvin has a fractured ankle Which I'm sure is a penalty in Walt Coleman's rule book...
finfanfromrochester Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 That was an amazing juke by Miller. I don't know if it's ironic that it happened to Mckelvin, but I won't deny that I got some pleasure out of seeing it. No one in the NFL should ever guarantee a victory. May the Leodis Mckelvin story be a warning to all those big-mouths in the league.
VirginiaMike Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I don't think you know what "literally" means "Inconceivable"
Dennis in NC Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I don't think you know what "literally" means Well, yes, he does. The kind of juke Miller made is often referred to as an "ankle breaker", but usually the term is used figuratively. Miller's juke was an "ankle breaker", but the term applied literally this time.
mountainwampus Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 McKelvin figuratively had his head up his butt when he guaranteed victory. So, the football gods literally broke his ankle. Similar to those two "discount double check" sack dance injuries.
Peter Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I know a lot of people don't like Leodis. I always feel compelled to defend the guy. He works hard, seems like a good teammate, and is a lot better than some give him credit for. We are going to miss him.

Will do whatever he's asked and not gripe. GO BILLS!!!
bbb Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 All you McKelvin Haters, guess you got what you wanted..who says you can't will the future! Does everybody have Haters here?
Mr. WEO Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 We missed him when he went down. Graham was getting roasted Roasted? Then he was simply picking up where Leodis left off...
atlbillsfan1975 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Maybe they can bring in a left footed punter, can never have too many utility guys! seriously, we are the only team in the NFL with a kick off specialist, Marrone is just an ahole. how about you make the playoffs or heck post a winning record you idiot before you try and show the NFL you are smarter then they are. Sorry about McKelvin.
rumblefish Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 don't want anyone to get hurt ,but applying chemicals to field to gain a unfair advantage, wow now we have heard it all, we don't like saying this but Bills were out played and out coached

ProcessAccepted Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 We missed him when he went down. Graham was getting roasted McKelvin was a big loss. He was having a great season. The secondary will not be the same without him.
HOUSE Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I think he purposely broke his ankle and wimped out on his guarantee
Matt in KC Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 That was an amazing juke by Miller. May the Leodis Mckelvin story be a warning to all those big-mouths in the league. I'll have to watch it again. On the replay it looked like McKelvin ran to his left and tried to cut back to his right, but his left foot had no traction at all while his right foot was completely anchored. It looked like very bad luck as much as anything. I swear as I watched I was thinking he was going to do a split and tear his groin, then he twisted and I thought he was going to blow out his knee, then he collapsed and the torque went all the way down to his ankle and I thought he might have escaped serious harm. I feel bad for Leodis, who was having a very good year. For the Bills, it's a huge loss.
Beerball Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 He got embarassed on that play CBF wow Ugh. Big talker before game... wow I'll stop there, reading more of the thread will probably sadden me too much. A guy broke a bone in his ankle & that's the response? Unbelievable.
purple haze Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) Roasted? Then he was simply picking up where Leodis left off... Leodis can play. Is he great? No. But he's a good football player. More athletic than a good many. He's improved since he's been in the league, always plays with passion, does whatever he's asked by the team, never hear him complain, and doesn't even fire back at jack-ass fans who paint foolishness on his property. The Bills will miss him on the field. There's no doubt about it. Edited November 15, 2014 by purple haze

The Bills will miss him on the field. There's no doubt about it. He does play with passion, which is fine. But many who play much better than him do so without all the "look at me" stuff. I don't believe anyone here is happy he's injured. But his play has been over-hyped by some here all year. He was not playing well in this game before he was injured. I think Graham, given the steady starting spot, will be as good.
