zow2 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Coming out of the bye at 5-3, ready to change the culture, finally have a winning November to keep themselves in control of their playoff destiny, fans selling out most of the games, blah blah. At worst they needed to split with KC and Miami which was very doable, but the Bills outdo themselves and score one TD over two games. It's almost stunning that they were 5-3 at the bye and 2 games later are out of it?!?!? What a waste of a good defense. It's a guarantee that if/when the O finally turns it around, the D will revert back to being a sieve. Simms said the same thing on the telecast I've been saying for years. You can't expect to rip off 10, 12, 14 play drives in the NFL very often. Too many things will go wrong at some point to kill the drive (sack, turnover, penalty, tipped pass on 3rd down, etc..). The Bills have to be one of the worst teams at creating explosive plays. Philbin coming out at halftime said that Miami would need some chunk plays to get their O going and they did. The Bills just stayed stagnant. I have to admit, i was a Marrone fan when he was hired. He seemed to have some pretty good intangibles and a good presence. He wasn't a wimp like Jauron, would challenge the players, his coaches and look alive during games. He wasn't a good 'ol boy like Gailey. I really thought we had something, but coach hasn't been very good this year. They are not using what they have on offense to maximize their ability to create plays. I told myself before the season that I'd consider it a fantastic season if the Bills were bought by local ownership and kept here. I guess we'll have to hang our hats on that for now. Maybe I'll just hang on to hope until that 7th loss, which is inevitable...ugh.,
