Not at the table Karlos Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Yeah no idea. Then again, stop dropping passes and going out of bounds 1 yard short of the first down, and maybe he'll have a greater roll. The guy hasn't made a big play/catch all year (correct me if I'm wrong). bears game is the first catch that comes to mind. He has had a bunch more that I can't pinpoint what games they were

SJDK Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Woods has turned into a prema donna cry baby. I wish we had stevie. play mike williams for now, just bench woods. Sammy is even following his lead, half assed route finishing and all. Every receiver except Hogan stunk last night and woods and watkins are finger pointers. Unfortunately we don't have the players to bench both, but i would. Brent Grimes is not a shut down corner, his career highlight was a nice play on a megatron route last week. This mixture of ridiculously bad play calling (long routes that require long periods of protection) and whiney little B!#$% receivers is unbearable. Orton threw checkdowns like he was EJ the last two games, I think our receivers are failing to recognise blitzes and break off their routes.
freeagentqb Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Something seems off with our wide receivers except for Hogan. Maybe Watkins is hurting but he seems to be becoming a non factor. Woods dropped a couple right in his hands yesterday. Looks disinterested.
4merper4mer Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I wanted to comment about woods too. Man has he regressed. But who hasnt in this offense under marrone and nh? It is hard to name even one player that has not regressed under Marrone/Hackett. You can't count rookies so I think Glenn along Brad Lamb and Gragg who had nowhere to go but up; and maybe Urbik who was wasting away until recently Players that seem to have regressed: Pears Orton EJ CJ Goodwin Woods Wood Chandler The problem only has one solution.
peterpan Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 What's his nuts is shaping up to be our best most consistent wr. I can't believe he didn't end up on the pats. Hogan that's his name
Niagara Dude Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 The play to start the second half when goes out of bounds 2 yards short of a first down say everything about his effort.Looks like he has lost interest and needs to sit on the bench.

John from Riverside Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I think Woods will bounce back when EJ is reinstated (if not sooner). I'm not trying to redirect the thread; I just think he has much better chemistry with EJ. are you missing the play where a player actually had to get between Woods and EJ after he led him into a big hit? Jesus the revisionist history sometimes My take is EVERYONE is regressing under these offensive coaches.....maybe its not the players?

Maybe they're thinking about a throw that will get their ribs broken, or a throw that completely misses, or crappy playcalling. That's all distracting, and that's the difference between a catch and a drop.

PolishDave Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 What happened???! looked like the sure fire answer for the #2 wideout spot, now regressing right out of the league. The falling out of bounds 2 yards short of the first down yesterday said it all. Was he training off season with Thad Lewis? Hackett's schemes and play calling may not be as bad as his failure to grow or even maintain talent. I was furious about that too. He could have easily got the first down. On the next play I believe our running back got tackled for a loss and we punted. Woods can accept the blame for that drive ending in a punt in my opinion. When the other team gives you an easy chance to make a play, you have got to make it. Dude has seriously regressed and has bad chemistry with Orton.
