Charles Romes Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 What happened???! looked like the sure fire answer for the #2 wideout spot, now regressing right out of the league. The falling out of bounds 2 yards short of the first down yesterday said it all. Was he training off season with Thad Lewis? Hackett's schemes and play calling may not be as bad as his failure to grow or even maintain talent.

He looks like he's sulking almost all the time!
bobobonators Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I wanted to comment about woods too. Man has he regressed. But who hasnt in this offense under marrone and nh?
....lybob Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 yep I thought he looked pretty good last year and had high hopes for this year but he has not only failed to take a step up but has regressed
Best Player Available Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 He looked horrible as Williams sat on the bench. WTF is Marrone thinking. Well, at least 7-11 is earning game checks. Woods sucked last night. Can we get a NFL caliber TE for Christmas Kim?
The Bunk Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Even worse is his body language throughout the game. He looks like he's sulking almost all the time! I've been saying this for a while now. His body language is always terrible.
zow2 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 How about his drop last night in the 1st Qtr? terrible. He also dropped a crucial one early in the KC game on 3rd and 4. It was on the Bills second drive when they had all the momentum and could've stomped the Chiefs. That drop killed their Mo. Woods has been a big disappointment to me.

Matt in KC Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I think Woods will bounce back when EJ is reinstated (if not sooner). I'm not trying to redirect the thread; I just think he has much better chemistry with EJ.

truth on hold Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I started this exact same topic a month ago, and except for Jester43, all I did was get flamed for it. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/171732-i-hate-to-be-a-downer-but-robert-woods/page__fromsearch__1
Fixxxer Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I never watched Woods in College, was his body language as bad as it was last night? Maybe it's something that was always there and we didn't notice.

KD in CA Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Even worse is his body language throughout the game. He looks like he's sulking almost all the time! Yup; he dropped that pass on the first series and from the look on his face you'd have thought they were already down 20 points.
bobobonators Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Yup; he dropped that pass on the first series and from the look on his face you'd have thought they were already down 20 points. Maybe Marrone is rubbing off on his players b/c seeing Marrone on the sidelines you'd think his dog just died.
Fixxxer Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I don't remember seeing it last year. me neither, au contraire, he was the one firing up his teammates, maybe is something to do with Sammy and Hogan stealing his role on the offense? I don't know.

I don't know. Yeah no idea. Then again, stop dropping passes and going out of bounds 1 yard short of the first down, and maybe he'll have a greater roll. The guy hasn't made a big play/catch all year (correct me if I'm wrong).
Thunderstealer Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I've been saying this for a while now. His body language is always terrible. Woods has some NBA basketball worthy body language--maybe the kid doesn't mean what he shows, but I doubt it.
BackInDaDay Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 maybe he's frustrated running into coverage, rather than away from it.. but yeah, the amateurish posturing should stop.. maybe his sulking coach can correct that
