26CornerBlitz Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 10 TDs 3 picks 277 yds a game and 65 percent completion percentage wasn't good? Look beyond the stats my friend. Take away the Jets game and it's not that great of a performance overall.
NoSaint Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 They tend to start off with a good scripted series of early plays that have success, and then just get very repetitive and stagnant. Bingo. We have very few long Td drives, and as of late they've been very early in games
1B4IDie Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) Look beyond the stats my friend. Take away the Jets game and it's not that great of a performance overall. The Jests game was not great by the offense. Without Sammy's 3 explosive catches the Bills probably lose that game even with the turnovers. The offense looked like crap and should have hung 28+ on the Jests before halftime. Edited November 14, 2014 by Why So Serious?
Nitro Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) Hackett made adjustments during the bye week? He needs to go. No innovation on offense. Back to the drawing board. Edited November 15, 2014 by Nitro

first_and_ten Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 The pegula win was the only one that mattered. At least were able to play another day, Thanks for putting things in perspective. I needed that.
1B4IDie Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 The pegula win was the only one that mattered. At least were able to play another day, Alternatively the team could have moved to LA and my quality of life would improve by not having to be obsessed with this **** sandwich factory.
Uncle Monkeyhead Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Offense is TOO predictable. At the slightest pressure, they know Orton will not move at all. KC figured this out too. Sammy does you no good if the defense rushes everyone because Orton will always be a sitting duck for the taking and he'll throw it away low or just take a sack. There's no threat of QB movement or roll out at all. This is easy to defend. If I were Marrone, I would have put time in over the bye to bring EJ in on a handful of plays....use him as that mobile threat to keep the kitchen sink D at bay at times. Can you imagine the confusion on D if EJ comes in ala pseudo-wildcat?? Hey....before you flame away, tell me....could it be any worse for the offense than what we trotted out there the last couple games?? They'd have to pause a bit to defend it. What the hell....anything should be on the table with the coaching staff's jobs and the no playoffs on the line.
kasper13 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 ONE TD in the last 7 quarters. One. Blame whoever the heck you want. They are all guilty. Far as I see it, the GM had 3 first round picks and 1 second spent on offense and has nothing to show for it. Deepest WR draft in ages and he spent 2 firsts to get Sammy. One yard outs and handoffs. Nice. EJ was a disaster. Cyrus Kouandjio is so bad he can't even be activated on a poor OL. Pegula needs to completely clean house. GM, Head coach, Assistants, Scouts, all the other people employed on the football side top to bottom front to back. Get the hell out. Has to bring in legit NFL caliber people from the water boys to the GM and President of Football Ops. Money talks. Get it done.
Max997 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) It's no coincidence the Bills are successful in the first quarter then seem to struggle rest of the game. Their opponents see everything the Bills are going to do in the first quarter and adjust to the whopping 5 plays in the gameplan. It's a lot easier to play defense when you know what the offense is going to do I've had enough of Marrone, Hackett and everyone else on the offensive staff. This team has completely reverted back to the Jauron years Edited November 14, 2014 by Max997
Big Blitz Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Look beyond the stats my friend. Take away the Jets game and it's not that great of a performance overall. I said good now....not great. He was good. Not spectacular. And he's clearly fallen off the last 2 weeks. Let's go back to that Jets game. There was a lot of anger after that one towards Hackett---that we could have done more..scored more. I think it's possible that fans were exactly right to be concerned---the sputtering has carried over. Just like the 1st Dolphins game. All the field goals. I think it affected confidence, and worse set the tone for a season loaded with red zone failures. Great teams want to be great all the time. They don't pat themselves on the back bc they simply didn't screw up; or were satisfied with field goals bc our D is awesome and that's Geno Vick over there. We showed a complete lack of desire to decimate the Jets. I think it's had an impact. They have that doubt in their head that they aren't good enough. Our coaches sure as hell call games like it.
reddogblitz Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 What was tonights performance? 22 out of 39 for 193 yrds. 0 TDs (obviously) and 0 Ints.

Please name the game where Orton was good. DET, NE, MIN, KC, MIA are all no for me. I'd say he was clutch at DET and vs. MIN. Against the NYJ, he was pretty good in limited attempts.

The only QB to have back to back single digits ESPN QBR since they started tracking it. Do do you want one of the worst QBS ever or a bad QB that can make some clutch plays? truth on hold Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 The Dolphins clearly did their homework. they watched how KC defended and did the same thing IMO. Orton has been completely figured out. No threat to scamble, roll out, or run. They always know where the pass will be coming from, and the LBs can drop back in coverage at will knowing there's no chance he run. Start EJ, the offense is scoring no points, it cannot get any worse. Orton is following the same trend he always does .... some good starts, and then *poof*. He is not the answer. EJ may not be either but he has a chance, and we need to KNOW NOW. AS IN THIS SEASON
1B4IDie Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Yeah okay. QBR said Tebow was good. If ESPN didn't stalk Tebow it would be possible that he might have been. Hell Fitzy was starting this year. Hell Orton is starting and Tebow got him benched.
thewildrabbit Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Deion is right, and I only wonder how long before we can see these craptastic college coaches go back to college I've been critical of Hackett since last years Chiefs game, and now after every game more and more join the ranks. If Whaley is smart he fires Marrone & Hackett tomorrow, and promotes Schwartz & Jim Hostler to HC & OC. Brings in Incognito while scrapping Marrone & Brandon's fubar moneyball analytic dept. they watched how KC defended and did the same thing IMO. Orton has been completely figured out. No threat to scamble, roll out, or run. They always know where the pass will be coming from, and the LBs can drop back in coverage at will knowing there's no chance he run. EJ may not be either but he has a chance, and we need to KNOW NOW. AS IN THIS SEASON I'd rather not see EJ starting with Hacker calling plays because he will be ruined by getting injured or severely concussed. At least Orton gets rid of the ball, and doesn't turn it over or take many sacks anymore. He is smart enough to not allow himself to be killed while completing one play.

Against the NYJ, he was pretty good in limited attempts. Yea. KC and Miami no good. All I remember about the New England game (and they do have the leagues best pass D) was CJ fumbling at halftime and Brady and Gronk being unstoppable. Detroit, the leagues number 1 defense, he won. And threw for 300 yards a TD and brought us back to win. Detroit is arguably the 2nd best team in football right now.
