Deranged Rhino Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 CAA probably won't let them leave. No one leaves the Death Star.
GG Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 He'd have to be a very special guy to get fired from an agency for cause.
Whack 'Em Williams Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Shady sh%t goin' down.. Since when does an agent have to be honest?
Kelly the Dog Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 He'd have to be a very special guy to get fired from an agency for cause. So true. Now I'm really curious to know what the good man did.
BillsVet Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 One of the big names in the player agent business. I remember him negotiating Mario's deal 2+ years ago to be the highest paid defensive player. Guy just lost some major money.
John from Riverside Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 CAA probably won't let them leave. No one leaves the Death Star. LOL....true dat
Doc Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 My bet is he was looking to get out and start his own agency, looking to take his clients with him. CAA got wind of it and terminated him.
John from Riverside Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 My bet is he was looking to get out and start his own agency, looking to take his clients with him. CAA got wind of it and terminated him. Does he leave with the goldfish like Tom Cruize?
Doc Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Does he leave with the goldfish like Tom Cruize? No, he eats the goldfish, like Jonah Hill did in "The Wolf of Wall Street."
papazoid Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 CAA probably found out he was planning to leave anyways. fired him to limit the damage.
Sojourner Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I bet he gets Parker... Sadly, I thought the same thing.
papazoid Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) The details regarding CAA's decision to fire agent Ben Dogra for cause remain unclear. It's becoming clear that a legal fight is looming. According to Liz Mullen of SportsBusiness Journal, Dogra has hired lawyer Rusty Hardin in connection with the termination of Dogra's employment. They are basically trying to figure out what the cause is now, because they didn't have any, Hardin told Mullen. They were afraid he was going to leave. They tried to pick the exit strategy that would allow them not to pay him. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/11/14/after-caa-firing-ben-dogra-hires-rusty-hardin/ Edited November 15, 2014 by papazoid
