[closed]Marrone, Hackett, and McKelvin all need to go

The game on Sunday was very frustrating. Not only should the Bills have won the game, they should have won by a blowout. I blame that on a bunch of reasons: dropped balls by the Bills receivers; fumbles by Brown and McKelvin; Hackett's playcalling in the redzone; and phantom calls by the refs. While Orton was not perfect in the game, I felt he played well enough to win. It was obvious that Watkins was hampered by his groin injury as he wasn't the factor that he normally is during a game. Using Glass Goodwin over Mike Williams is a head scratcher, it even seems that way to Hackett as well. Seems like Marrone is upset at Williams for requesting a trade after he was benched, so he's taking it out on him. The Bills are the worst redzone team in the NFL and using Williams would help the Bills get out of the gutter in that category.

McKelvin keeps making head scratching moves, didn't he learn anything from the NE game years ago. Not only was it very frustrating seeing him fumble the ball deep in the Bills territory but on the final punt return of the game, he wasted 10 seconds off the clock by running backwards and tackled for no gain, giving the Bills 14 seconds on the clock...more poor decisions by this guy!

The Bills need another legitmate pass catching TE as Lee Smith and Chris Gragg are not it. While Smith is a good blocker, he takes a lot of dumb penalties and is not reliable in the passing game.

I don't get Hackett, the Bills had four tries to get a first down to make it first and goal but Hackett blew it. The Bills were having success running the ball and Hackett calls for four pass plays to the end zone, instead of trying to get a first down, then have another four downs to score a TD. Marrone, Hackett, and McKelvin all need to go!!!

Leodis and CJ are examples of very high picks that the Bills invested in low IQ players. You can win with dumb players but the coaches have to manage them properly. Bill Parcells won a lot of football games with dumb players but he was a master compared to what the Bills have put on the sidelines.

Bryce Brown's fumble was the result of a tremendous defensive play. McKelvin's fumble was a mistake, and mistakes happen. Otherwise, he has been arguably our best CB this season and a solid contributor on special teams. I'm not ready to spray paint genitals on his lawn just yet.

Hackett took what the defense gave him at the end of the game. KC stacked the box and dared him to throw it. It's not Hackett's fault that Orton misfired on two TD opportunities to Watkins and Hogan.

Sometimes, it just is what it is man. In that game, Buffalo made some mistakes and executed poorly in some areas. Here's to putting a beat down on the fish.

the KC loss left me more angry with this team than at any point I can ever remember. I left the place where I was watching the game when the Bills were up 13-3 to go play golf (I am on the West Coast now, really enjoying these 10am starts..)) ) thinking to myself, despite the Brown fumble (arguably an absolutely perfect tomahawk chop by the KC DB) and blown red zone chances, that we were in control of the game, and should we lose a 10 point lead I wouldn't want to see that anyways..

damn it, I was right.

Mistakes happen, like fumbles. But my concerns are greater than just losing that game. It was HOW we lost it, and continue to lose winnable games. To me it seems like Marrone & Hackett are watching some other game than us fans, who scream for obvious decisions to be made. The last sequence in which Orton threw 4 times to the end zone is a classic example. There were other plays to be had underneath, plenty of time to run the ball, and that's the garbage we got?

We know the other problems: poor in-game management by Marrone, lack of discipline on the field, poor personnel decisions (i.e., Mike Williams), the Hackett disaster, etc.

To me the only thing that would encourage is to know TPegs is bringing an outside consultant who will recommend we finally spend the $$ to hire a legit coach. That's the only thing which will improve this product and lead to the playoffs. It will be a miracle to keep this defense intact, but we have to find a way to do it.

I normally get over a loss by Tuesday, but this one really has gotten under my skin.

Not a Hackett fan, would love to see him go. On the fence on Marrone, he may be a great manager of a good staff. Mckelvin, he's played above average. No need to run him out of town.

My take on releasing anybody at any level, whose the replacement? If we don't have somebody on the roster to fill the role, or a FA that we are marrying ourself to, then releasing anybody is a bad idea. Coach, OC, DB, doesn't matter. Releasing Leodis would create a fairly large whole on the roster that we can't necassarily replace. See what Whaley did with Byrd. That's how you handle these situations responsibly.

What about when we won very losable games like Chicago, Detroit and Minny? Those don't count? Okay.

I'm not playing that game of losable game relativism, thanks though

Detroit & Minnesota are prime examples of games which were far closer than they should have been - but both are indicative of the point I made earlier about our NFL-worst red zone efficiencies

We should have beaten the 7-2 Lions handily on the road? Okay.

Minnesota was closer than it should have been because of fumbles, not coaching.

Wait never mind. Axe them! Grind them! CONFISCATE THEIR PARKING PASSES!

Why not? We were beating Detroit on the field that day and had to settle for field goals.....AGAIN

You are correct on the Minn game, I'll concede that.

My point is that I don't like the straw man of "the games won we should have lost"....I'm focused on the games we GAVE AWAY (Houston & KC). Yes, every team (other than Jax & OAk) probably wins a couple games they should have lost - usually that's the mark of a team that's maturing

Yep then they'll beat NE and go to the Super Bowl

McKelvin is playing at a pro bowl level this season. How is he even in this conversation, that's just crazy.

There are games where he plays at a pro bowl level and games where is a beaten badly and makes complete boneheaded decisions (such as this past Sunday).
