Jauronimo
I'm surprised this mission isn't getting more pub given the stakes here. If the Rosetta's crew isn't able to blow this thing up, we're all screwed.

If the Rosetta's crew isn't able to blow this thing up, we're all screwed. Well, that's true. But this is the one that's going to hit us and no one talks about it, of course it's 15 years out -- which isn't worth mentioning I guess: http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/apophis/ NASA says it'll miss now, I've heard from more than a few folks (some with actual bona-fides) that NASA is in fact outright lying about the trajectory. They know it's going to hit us, probably in 2036 if not 2029, and it's much larger than they ever realized. Unless we get Bruce Willis and his rag-tag team out there, it'll be all she wrote for humanity on this planet in about 22 years. It was a good run while it lasted. That must be why the Cubs hired Joe Maddon. They are running out of time. Can the Bills hire Joe Maddon?

I don't think there's a rule prohibiting a MLB manager from holding a job in the NFL as well. I'm for it if it means giving Pears and the jumbo sets an extinction level event. As an experienced MLB manager, i have no doubt hes qualified to land a spacecraft on and blow up a celestial body, but do you really think he can coach a football team? Certainly not one that plays on top of an Indian burial ground and is haunted by the ghost of Doug Flutie... but when facing end times, I'm for throwing things against the wall to see what sticks. ICanSleepWhenI'mDead
The terrain that has been chosen for the landing on the rubber duck-shaped object is far from flat. Alien version of a Trojan horse? After all, how dangerous could something shaped like a rubber duck be? That **** might fly in that dog and pony show you call the National Areospace Safety Administration but in the NFL that type of crap gets you an express pass to the commissioner's exempt list. Just ask Greg Hardy

By the way I have to you before and will sadly probably have to tell you again that are not "Bona-fides". They may have said they get drunk and have "boner fights" but that is not something I'm interested in investigating any further. You should stay away from them. The estimated trajectory was done by groups including Stanford, Harvard, NSF, NAS, U of Arizona, and U of Hawaii. NASA couldn't hide the facts of this asteroid if they wanted to.
