eball Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Some of you young whippersnappers around here always wonder why a lot of us get bent out of shape when it comes time for a game against Miami. I've read things like "they're not our rival" and "nobody cares about this game." Please allow me to refresh everyone's memory with one simple phrase: 0-for-the-70s That's right, Bills fans. For an entire decade, twice a season, Buffalo was on the wrong side of the scoreboard against the likes of Bob Griese, Larry Csonka, Jim Kiick, Mercury Morris, etc. Some of the games were close (few outside of Buffalo know that the Bills were the team that came closest to beating the undefeated Fish in 1972), but many were blowouts. The Orange Bowl was a house of horrors for our Bills. In 1980, when the Joe Ferguson-led Bills with their Bermuda Triangle defense finally defeated the Fish at Rich Stadium, fans responded by tearing down the goalposts. In SEPTEMBER. In Dan Marino's rookie season of 1983, Fergie led the Bills to their first win at the Orange Bowl since Miami's inaugural season (1966) by throwing for five TDs in a thrilling 38-35 OT affair. Who can forget Jim Kelly's last second sneak to beat the Fish in the '89 season opener? Frank Reich leading the Bills to the AFC East crown (and another goalpost display) in '90, followed by Kelly's return in the snow in the playoffs? Or the offensive explosion of the '91 opener at Rich? The tide was turned throughout the early 90s as Kelly's Bills became Marino's Dolphins' nemesis, but we will never forget. SQUISH THE GODDDDAMMMM FISH!!!!!!!!!!!
Bubba Gump Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I thought this was gonna be about Bryan Cox and his two birds. That move actually made me hate him more than the team itself. Either way.....eff Miami!!!

Bubba Gump Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) I remember going to the Miami game the following year at The Ralph and someone had a sign hanging on the wall that said Bryan sucks Cox. Edited November 11, 2014 by Not Again
