Andrew Son Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 This is fun! Can we get one for every position please?
BuffaloBillsForever Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 This is fun! Can we get one for every position please? Spending exorbitant resources on a QB can actually make sense!
NoSaint Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 3 of them found in free agency, 1 undrafted, 1 6th rounder, and 1 that sat on the bench several years...... outside of big ben, it looks like you are arguing we need the #1 pick, and we werent getting that regardless. doomed?

If you are going to blow your load, do it on a QB.
K-9 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I need to know where 2014 Top Long Snappers were drafted. Thanks. GO BILLS!!!
NoSaint Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) If you are going to blow your load, do it on a QB. whats the cost to trade up to #1 for a slam dunk qb? given the only one on the list that was traded for on draft day was for another qb in that draft (plus a ransom) (and took him threatening not to sign with the #1 team).... id say theres not really much chance for what you are advocating. one might argue, based on your insightful presentation, that the sound approach would have been trading late picks for palmer and saving our number 1 for a larry fitzgerald-esque weapon to pair with a stout defense. where was larry drafted, now that you bring this up? BuffaloBillsForever Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 The other argument is that the QB position while possible is the least likely position to find out of the 1st round.
NoSaint Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) The other argument is that the QB position while possible is the least likely position to find out of the 1st round. while i generally agree with that point 5 of the 10 you listed were found by their current teams outside the first round. Brees was coming off a major injury, Palmer forced his way off the team that drafted him, Colts had Luck and Rodgers sat behind an all time great. Franchise QBs do not hit the open market unless there are extraordinary circumstances.
Kirby Jackson Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 We are missing some other great 1st round QBs over the last decade: - Cutler - Jamarcus - Grossman - Brady Quinn - Jake Locker - EJ - Ponder - Leinart - Young - Gabbert It seems like about 1/2 of the 1st round QBs are panning out.
