truth on hold Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) Seriously what gives here? And nearly lost to vikes too. The consensus is that its a tough place for visitors, but the record doesn't lie Edited November 10, 2014 by JTSP
Chandler#81 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Yep. NO team fears playing in the Ralph -which is recipe for consistent failure. It's not the fans fault. Frenetic, sold out crowds every week until the 'math' is realized. So freakin' sad.
truth on hold Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Seahawks knew to maximize crowd noise you need more vertical seating angle. That keeps the noise in. Ralph is too flat. Crowd noise escapes, on the field its not really that loud. You don't see visitors all confused, calling time outs, and getting delay of game penalties
Max997 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 this really bugs me, tough to make the playoffs with a losing record at home 3 home games left one of which is vs the Packers
zow2 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 The crowd is great. This has nothing to do with crowd noise. Teams like playing at RWS. The real culprit is that the Bills players themselves i think come out too hyped and loosey goosey at home. They think in their minds..home game, great D, we will roll. Meanwhile the offense is very average at best and they kill themselves even more by being careless with the ball at home. Way to many turnovers at RWS. The D seems more gritty and ball hawking on the road, thereby setting up the O. Maybe it's my imagination. Bottom line....the O does not perform at home and they turn it over way too much.

John Adams Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Seahawks knew to maximize crowd noise you need more vertical seating angle. That keeps the noise in. Ralph is too flat. Crowd noise escapes, on the field its not really that loud. You don't see visitors all confused, calling time outs, and getting delay of game penalties Was not true in the 80s and 90s. Even removing some of the seats since then, there can be plenty of noise but the fans don't have reason to be disruptively passionate.
John from Riverside Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 thats really cute And frankly.....wrong Have they stopped throwing eggs at the incoming teams busses? Need to start that back up agan
NoSaint Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 i posted it in another thread but our redzone td % is just 33 at home. was 50% on the road. i bet that accounts for a lot of it and has nothing to do with crowd noise.
Boatdrinks Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Seriously what gives here? And nearly lost to vikes too. The consensus is that its a tough place for visitors, but the record doesn't lie The Seahawks get a nice advantage, but they don't win at home due to crowd noise. They punisjh you physically and oh by the way , the QB is pretty good too. The Bills crowd noise is fine, but it only does so much. It will get you a couple false starts per game maybe. Just like the Superbowl Bills didn't win due to crowd noise at Rich, they had HOFers up and down the roster that made great plays and demoralized opponents. This year, the home record stinks, but it has more to do with the fact we faced Rivers, Brady , and a pretty darn good Chiefs defense . The Chiefs offense doesn't wow you, but they keep mistakes to a minimum. The Bills offense has no identity and lacks a big time QB, so scoring points is tough. 13 points at home won't win a lot of games in the NFL.

The crowd is great dont get me wrong, but the flattish stadium design wastes all that noise. You don't see chaos out there from the visiting team like you do at seahawks stadium, arrowhead, some others, and the domes. Edited November 10, 2014 by JTSP
