OldNMBillsFan Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Unless this is a new fire Hackett thread, or fire Marrone thread, expect it to be closed. Please use the search function. I thought the O line did a hell of a job.
SJDK Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I agree that it was their best effort. I was watching the game with my dad and noted that Orton kept throwing at everyones feet because he was expecting to get hit. The shocking thing is that the protection was there... and it threw his timing off. It's a real ball buster that something like that happened. The improved line play didn't help because Orton had grown not to trust them and I can't blame him. Incidently, I think Watkins wasn't playing his hardest and I know it was because he was injured but it reminded me of the lions marching an injured calvin Johnson out there for a few games this year. Blew my mind how all those pieces came together like that. McLovin' and Bryce were the chiefs best players BTW. The Oline wasn't the problem this week and Orton could be 3-3 after thursday. EJ was 2-2 when he was benched.
Big C Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 too bad this post is drowning in the wake of everything that went wrong yesterday, but thanks for pointing out a true positive - although, and its only because i was constantly looking for Cujo at RG, there were still too many instances of Pears looking like a lost kid at Walmart For what it's worth, Pears was an honorable mention in PFF's team of the week.
Captain Caveman Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I completely disagree, at least as far as the passing game goes. Most of the bad incompletions were intentional dump offs due to blitzes not being picked up.
YoloinOhio Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 YardsPerPass.com @YardsPerPass 8m8 minutes ago I can guarantee you that the OL hasn't been creating holes like this all season YardsPerPass.com @YardsPerPass 33m33 minutes ago On the Bryce Brown almost TD, really nice blocking by OL, especially Wood and Henderson #Bills
thewildrabbit Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 O-line played well. only gave up 1 sack. ave yards per rush was 5.0 unfortunately they threw 48 times to 22 rushes. what he said...
RealityCheck Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Kyle Orton had to throw it away fairly quickly throughout the game. The O-line was just as porous as usual, Orton was just getting the ball out faster, and with less accuracy as the game progressed.
