KOKBILLS Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 And they won't even be favored in the Browns game. Nor should they be...
BillsVet Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Yes all, and I only say that because: A) Bringing Orton in as a backup was a very smart move. Even after today's loss he's still done very well for us so far. B) Pulling EJ as early as they did was ballsy. Really ballsy. I would have never expected them to pull the trigger that early. See: The Jets C) Getting EJ out of the spotlight was the smartest thing they could have ever done. He could still develop into a really good QB. A) It took them the 2013 preseason, 2013 regular season, and almost the entire 2014 off-season to get a durable and experienced NFL QB on this roster. Prior to this they had glass-Kolb, a journeyman in Lewis, UDFA Jeff Tuel, and a myriad of others now out of the league. The exception was Tarvaris Jackson who they inexplicably cut. B) You would pull EJ too if your HC and GM job was on the line. The expectations were playoffs in 2014 and it was clear after week 4 EJ wasn't taking this team there. C) EJ presses because he's afraid of failing. He does exactly what the staff tells him to do and showed little ability to adapt to opposing defenses. He is headed toward bust status real quick.

Buffalo Barbarian Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Even if the Bills win their next 3, they're 8-4. If they beat the Raiders they're 9-4. If they surprise and beat Green Bay they're 10-4. That's winning ALL their remaining games except IN Denver and IN NE. That makes the Bills 10-6 with a 6-6 conference record. Look at the rest of the AFC teams right now and tell me that gets the Bills to the playoffs. We are winning all our games!!
purple haze Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I would hardly state that he outright sucks. You just know what you're going to get with him... Some plays here or there. Some will win you the game and some won't. All dependent on which shows up. As for EJ? Who knows... Don't see why they don't just let Orton front out the rest of the season. They did bench the kid for him after all. Turning it around again would be rather delusional. I wouldn't say delusional. They replaced EJ because they felt Orton was better for a roster ready to make a playoff push. IF they are out of playoff contention they should definitely play EJ. See if he improves. If so, he competes w/ Orton next off-season/camp. If not, draft another QB or get another QB in free agency and let them all compete. But if playoffs are not happening they have to see if EJ shows something for the future.
uticaclub Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Season ended today. More realistic to win the east then a wildcard now. No 1st round pick. !@#$. Goodbye Hughes. Lose CJ for nothing. Orton vs EJ in training camp...yay. Same song different record.

YoloinOhio Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 @TheBillsMafia: New from @RQUINN619 - Upcoming 3 game stretch will determine if these are "Same Old #Bills" http://t.co/Z5Q4fzpvaZ http://t.co/aLYJ697X61
Rockinon Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 They are, but they're not like playing Denver in Mile High. You never know. We may see a whole lotta 9-7 at the end of all of this. A lot of these teams have to play each other. I actually think Mile High late in the season would be great for this team. Old Peyton looks pretty bad in cold weather. I think our D might just take over that game. The games that make me nervous are hot teams like Mia and Cle. Watching how NE's defense really kept Manning from getting anything going makes me think that a Buffalo D might put the ca-bash on a Denver division title.
Captain Hindsight Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 This was a brutal loss, but I take some solace in the fact that they played better than the Chiefs overall if you factor in turnovers. The Bills lost the all-important points off turnovers battle today by a score of 14-3 (i'm including the lost points on the bryce brown fumble here). Otherwise, the bills looked better. Miami will be missing their LT, and the jets and browns games are at home. All are very winnable. 8-4 isn't actually crazy talk. I have no confidence in this team to win 3 straight. Way to inconsistent. All three of these teams could beat us and we don't play well at home
Georgia Bill Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 @TheBillsMafia: New from @RQUINN619 - Upcoming 3 game stretch will determine if these are "Same Old #Bills" http://t.co/Z5Q4fzpvaZ http://t.co/aLYJ697X61 Weren't we saying "next 4 games" just a week ago? Now we just ignore the pathetic loss to KC and say "next 3 games". I WANT us to win all 3, but no way I expect us to. Yesterday was frankly a must win and we lost, in gut wrenching fashion (again). With all that said, if we get into December with a mathematical chance, I'll be Billieving - again.
WotAGuy Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Actually, the Bills can beat each of their remaining opponents. Unfortunately, the Bills have a greater chance of beating themselves.
