Report: Dolphins LT Albert could be out for season

He was carted off the field in Detroit on Sunday, and word in the postgame locker room from Dolphins players was Branden Albert could be lost for the season with a knee injury that requires surgery.

That according to the Miami Herald, who quoted Albert’s linemate Mike Pouncey. Pouncey gave indication that Albert is done for the season and headed for surgery.

Riddick touchdown catch lifts Lions

Theo Riddick caught an 8-yard strike from Matthew Stafford to seal a back-and-forth contest with the Dolphins and improve the Lions' stake in the NFC playoff race.

Bills not going to dwell with Miami up next

The Bills are undoubtedly stinging from their loss to Kansas City at home Sunday, but they’ve already decided to move on to Miami knowing they’ll be lining up against them in four days time.

“It’s definitely tough, we lost the football game and no one probably woke up today expecting to lose, we’re definitely upset about that,” said Jerry Hughes, who had a pair of sacks Sunday and two other quarterback hits. “We’ve got a Thursday game, we’ve got a division game so we’ve got a chance to finish 3-1 (in this quarter of the season) and sweep Miami. That’s our focus right now is to just find a way to get ready for that game, it’s going to come up quick we’ve got to be prepared.”

Leodis McKelvin: Bank on Bills

The Buffalo Bills may have stumbled their way to a 17-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs but cornerback Leodis McKelvin was not lacking in confidence after the game Sunday as he looked forward to Thursday night's match-up with the Miami Dolphins.

"S---, we're going to go out and beat that ass. Point blank. Period," McKelvin told reporters.

Bills' Leodis McKelvin provides Dolphins bulletin-board material

The Miami Dolphins are still reeling from the sting of Sunday’s heartbreaking, 20-16, loss to the Detroit Lions. Miami gave up Detroit’s winning touchdown with just 29 seconds remaining in a game that could have done wonders for the Dolphins' playoff prospects.

But Buffalo Bills defensive back Leodis McKelvin added further insult with his comment Sunday evening following their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. According to McKelvin, not only will the Bills get back on the winning track Thursday against Miami, but McKelvin added, “We're going to go out and beat that [expletive]. Point blank. Period.”

Ouch!

Will this be on a local station?

In the Buffalo area it will.

Not in Rochester though I do not believe. So Roch gets blacked out, but doesn't get the Thursday game televised except for the NFL network. That blows.

Hey commish, fix that will you please?

McFumble is probably the last person who should be shooting his mouth off.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't it be on in Rochester too because it's within the local blackout radius?

Personally, I like seeing him pissed. He knows he made a mistake that hurt us and he wants get out there and redeem himself. You could even see this on the very next punt return.

Left tackle spotlight now on Dolphins rookie Ja'Wuan James

The Miami Dolphins lost arguably their most consistent offensive player Sunday in Pro Bowl left tackle Branden Albert. Miami will put Albert on season-ending injured reserve Monday, and according to a source, he has dual ACL and MCL tears in his right knee.

Albert's recovery time is expected to be 9-12 months. But the Dolphins (5-4), who are battling for a playoff spot in the AFC, cannot afford to sulk. They have the Buffalo Bills (5-4) visiting Sun Life Stadium on Thursday in a big game for both teams.

A nice matchup advantage for Jerry Hughes.
