Just got done watching the game against KC and got so aggravated I just want to vent a bit. I have been listening to all the playoff optimism posted here and I certainly don't want to come across as "negative". I love this team and have been a fan since I was a little kid. I have seen them at their worst and best, but the truth is right now this team is still not even good enough offensively to consistently beat bad to average teams let alone contend for playoff glory against winners. Our defense is just about there save for the secondary, but our offense is "inconsistent" to say the least. We have achieved wins over a couple of teams who almost literally couldn't get out of their own way, and even then struggled to "put them away". I mean we went 7 straight possessions against the Jets without a single 1st down. Against Minn 7 possessions 1st half, 5 are either punts, fumbles or INT's. 5 possessions 2nd half, 4 are either punts or fumbles. Today against a "better" team: 6 possessions 1st half, 4 punts. 6 possessions 2nd half, 5 are punts, fumbles or turned over on downs, Red Zone Efficiency 0/4 - 0%, Goal To Go Efficiency 0/1 - 0%. I want to see us contending for a title again as bad as anyone here but we are truly kidding ourselves if we think that this is going to cut it.

Wow!

I had no idea that the Bills were (are) that bad. Those are horrible statistics that you posted. Not good!

Every time I see Micheal Irvin snickering when asked about our chances this year (or others) I want to toss something at the screen. But deep down I have to admit, he's right...We aren't a team to be feared or even worried about yet on offense. Now our D may put QB's on their head 4 or 5 times and send some opposing players off to IR but if they can manage 3 TD's and a FG we are screwed right now.
